𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀🤝 Here are three ideas from our CTO, Prof. Nadav Katz, for extracting more information from quantum systems while protecting fragile quantum states: 🎯Interference can reveal more information than conventional measurements allow. 🎯Smarter qubit characterization can unlock better performing quantum processors. 🎯Advanced qubit control can preserve coherence even in complex noise environments. Next week, Nadav will discuss these ideas at #FQMT'26 in Prague, contributing to the global discussion on the science and engineering behind next-generation quantum technologies. Yesterday, Qubit IL Israel's Quantum Tech Association hosted together with Dream senior leaders from government, defense, and critical infrastructure to confront how exposed our critical infrastructure will be in the quantum era and the concrete steps we can start taking today , both industry and government. The agenda: Nadav Katz (Qarakal Quantum) opened with a fascinating intro into Quantum and a look at Israel's quantum ecosystem. We continued with a panel on Critical Infrastructure & National Defense Quantum and Cyber Gaps with Dr. Nadav Cohen , Ariel Sobelman, Tomer Simon, PhD (Microsoft), and Dorit Dor. A use case on building a Sovereign Quantum Platform was presented by Gil Dolev. Lenny Ridel (QIZ Security) closed the day on explaining the journey to PQC Migration Challenges in National Networks. My major takeaway from this day: Q-day is not a future problem , it's here now. It's clear that industry and government need to work hand in hand to prepare Israel, and no one can afford to wait another second. It's also clear that Israel is well positioned. We have a strong, vibrant ecosystem, not just in hardware, but increasingly moving up the value chain. Supply chains matter, and so does sovereignty. Building a sovereign quantum platform isn't just a technical challenge, it's a strategic imperative. Grateful to everyone in the room for a candid, substantive conversation and to Dream and Gil Dolev for hosting. 𝗠𝗼 𝗤𝘂𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀: 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗤𝗘𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 Color codes are among leading candidates for #QuantumErrorCorrection due to their transversal Clifford gates, but until now these strengths came with a cost: NP-hard error decoding. Until now! NVIDIA researchers found a way around this bottleneck by introducing #AI-based pre-decoders, significantly improving 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 and 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 simultaneously. As quantum systems scale, real-time decoding becomes a system-level challenge. Improvements in error-correction pipelines have a major impact on performance, becoming the key challenge in reaching fault-tolerant quantum computers. At Qarakal, we believe this is exactly where 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. Tel Aviv Medical Center Innovation Unboxing Summit, WOW 🤯🧠 Qarakal Quantum took part in the session “Quantum Meets Healthcare”, exploring how quantum computing technologies can reshape the future of medicine. Our CEO, Nissan Maskil, joined Miriam Shtilman Lavsovski , Prof. Ido Strauss, and Nir Minerbi to discuss a fundamental shift in healthcare: from “personalized medicine” to dynamic medicine. We are moving from optimizing treatment around a fixed snapshot of a patient, to continuously adapting care to a living system- where disease mechanisms evolve, feedback loops change in real time, and “the right treatment” is no longer a single answer, but a moving target. In such settings, where data is often limited, quantum computing may enable new approaches for identifying treatment strategies. Two weeks after my 15‑hour flight back from the 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 in L.A., I’m still processing the great experience. Unlike most scientific conferences I’ve attended over the years, this one had a wonderful informal atmosphere. On such meetings, faculty usually talk mainly with faculty, students stick together, and only the sponsors approach anyone who looks willing to listen (and buy...). But the QDW 2026 was unique: I found myself (an Israeli startup employee) coffee-break-chatting a Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory professional, a professor from ETH Zürich, and an undergrad from University of Southern California. Years ago, while giving freshmen a tour on the Hebrew University's Givat Ram Campus, I said that "𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁". My wife (one of those freshmen) reminded me of that a decade later. Quantum computing is no different. Despite growing competition, the problems are still big enough that collaboration wins. Last week, 𝗤𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗹 hosted an energizing visit from a 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵‐𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 in our quantum computing lab.
