Price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has been cut by more than ₹190 across major cities, including Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, effective August 1. The monthly revision marks the second consecutive reduction in commercial LPG prices and is expected to lower operating costs for restaurants, hotels, caterers and other businesses. Household consumers, however, will see no immediate relief, as the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged. In Delhi, the non-domestic LPG cylinder price fell by ₹192 and costs ₹2,738 per cylinder. Mumbai and Chennai saw a deduction of ₹194 and ₹200 per cylinder respectively, pegging the price at ₹2,691.5 and ₹2,906 per cylinder. However, it is Kolkata, that has seen the steepest decline at ₹209, making the 19-kg commercial cylinder priced at ₹2,872.5. The Centre is developing a 13 GW Solar-Wind Hybrid Park in Ladakh's Pang, Debring and Kharnak regions with an estimated investment of ₹60,000 crore, making it one of India's biggest clean energy projects.
