i spent my sunday celebrating a grocery app's birthday. if someone had told me this a few years ago, i'd have laughed. but there i was. Zepto turned 5 and somehow managed to recreate the kind of birthday party most of us grew up going to. the birthday caps were back. everything about it felt familiar... cake, samosas, bingo! chaat, a giant piñata, return gifts, ring toss games, diy brownie decorating, coke floats... and an almost unreasonable amount of cadbury celebrations chocolates. i don't think i've seen that many chocolates in one place since i was a kid. obviously, i had to try everything. my brownie looked nothing like the one i had imagined, i completely failed at the ring toss challenge, and i still came back home with a return gift, so i'd call that a win. and surprisingly, it didn't take long before people started grabbing (or stealing might be the right word) another handful of chocolates from the piñata, comparing brownies, and opening return gifts before they even got home. and somewhere in between all of that, i asked chandan the most important question of the evening: "cake or samosa?" without missing a beat, he said, "rasgulla." he had a surprisingly convincing explanation for it, too. happy 5th, zepto. thanks, Aditi Parmar, for having me. turns out, we never really outgrow birthday parties. ps. It was such a fun-filled Sunday celebrating Zepto’s 5-year journey at this nostalgia themed event that took me right back to the good old childhood birthday vibes💜🩷✨ From the fun games to the warm atmosphere, everything was put together so thoughtfully and made the whole experience feel extra special. When I walked into Zepto's 5-year celebration, I wasn't expecting to be reminded of my childhood 😌 But somewhere between the games, pop-ups, music, and the endless stream of snacks, it started to feel less like a corporate event and more like one of those birthday parties we all looked forward to growing up. You know the kind. The excitement of walking in, spotting familiar faces, grabbing a pastry before it disappears, going back for another samosa, and somehow finding space for chaat and brownies too 😄 That's exactly the feeling I got. And honestly, every birthday party needs its besties. Cadbury Celebrations came with the sweets, Bingo! brought the snacks, and Zepto was the birthday kid soaking in all the love 💜 What made the evening even better was meeting so many amazing people, including Chandan Mendiratta, and sharing conversations that made the event feel even more special. As someone who spends most days focused on work and deadlines, it was refreshing to attend an event that was simply about celebrating, connecting, and having a good time. Congratulations to the Zepto team on completing 5 years. You've built something incredible, and if this was the 5th birthday party, I can only imagine what the 10th one will look like 🥳

As a marketer, I’m genuinely fascinated by how intentionally Zepto build these experiences. They don’t just choose a theme; they ask, “𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜?” As a consumer, though, I’ve apparently been adopted by the purple app. 💟 Cadbury Celebrations (Mondelēz International) made sure we 𝘌𝘢𝘵 5 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳, 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, and I followed instructions with full sincerity. Super fun Sunday at Zepto HQ celebrating their 5th birthday!
