The government of Serdang Bedagai Regency initiated a supplementation program to reduce the high ... more The government of Serdang Bedagai Regency initiated a supplementation program to reduce the high prevalence of stunting in the area by delivering extra supplementation, which were nutritious biscuits from national government and fish-based supplement produced from local resources. A 6-month study from April 2022 to September 2022 was conducted to monitor and evaluate the government program that involved 219 under-5-year-old children with height-for-age Z-score (HAZ-score) below -2. We observed the stunting prevalence reduction by 37.00%, where 81 children recovered from stunting (HAZ-score ≥ -2). Furthermore, the mean HAZ-score and WHZ-score (Weight-for-Height Z-score) were monitored to significantly improve by 0.97 ± 1.45 (P-value = 1.74e -14 ) and 1.00 ± 2.18 (P-value = and 2.40e -8 ), subsequently. The most significant improvement in HAZ-score was monitored among children receiving fish-based supplements with 1.04 ± 1.44 improvement (P-value = 6.59e -17 ). Then, a significant WHZ-score improvement was reported from children consuming fish-based supplements and a combination of fish-based supplements with nutritious biscuits (P-value = 2.32e -8 and 5.48e -5 ) by 1.04 ± 2.29 and 0.83 ± 1.84, respectively. The results of the observation become evidence that the program could effectively reduce the prevalence of stunting in children below five years old, especially among children who received locally produced fish-based supplements.

Not only academics and scientists but AI have managed to creep into the world of health and medicine. AI in precision medicine has become a viral topic discussed in various scientific forums worldwide. The accuracy and precision of AI in helping doctors make diagnoses is a hotly discussed research topic because it concerns the ethics and regulation of AI itself. The rise of research examining AI's regulation and ethics in precision medicine is the basis for this research, which will review and conduct a literature study from the Scopus database of reputable international journals. In this literature study, we found several aspects that need to be regulated and reviewed regarding the ethics of AI in precision medicine. After conducting a comprehensive review, the aspects found include transparency and explanation, privacy and data protection, bias and fairness, safety and security, accountability and responsibility, and collaboration and global standards. Some of the urgency of AI ethics in precision medicine are discussed in this research paper, such as equality in access and affordability, patient safety and quality of care, regulatory oversight, and global standards.

Leukemia is a cancer of blood cells, known as an abnormal white blood cells growth produced by the bone marrow. The exact cause of leukemia is still unknown. However, leukemias have been acknowledged to be grouped by how quickly the disease develops (acute leukemia and chronic leukemia) as well as by the type of blood cell that is affected (lymphocytes or myelocytes). This paper focuses on the acute leukemia, which can be categorized into Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). These types of leukemia are possible to be diagnosed by counting the number of blood cells growth in the bone marrow through the microscopic analysis of blood cell imagery. However, it cost overpriced in terms of time, energy, and amount. In addition, manual counting may lead potential false of diagnoses. In this paper, backpropagation neural network algorithm is used to extract the characteristics of ALL and AML blood cells. Digital image processing is employed for identification type of leukemias. The experimental results argue that the proposed work achieves about 86.66% accuracy on average in classifying the leukemia acute types.

The main reason is lack of the health facilities. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) is a tool for early treatment and screening of many diseases, including TB. This paper proposed a design of a CAD system in Indonesia specifically for TB. The design gives the analysis of self-assessment concepts, use-case diagrams, and black-box diagrams. The black box utilizes chest x-ray (CXR) data for the medical image processing (MIP) method, and artificial intelligence (AI) for classification and visualization of the TB. This CAD design of self-assessment of TB has a capability to help the health practitioners read and interpret the diagnosis result more easily.

One of the type leukemias is acute leukemia which consists of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Acute leukemia can be diagnosed according to the calculation of a complete blood in the bone marrow, but the calculation process still has several problems, such as when leukemia blood cells are manually counted by microscope, it needs more power, takes too much time, and costs very expensive. This disease can be identified and classified by combining neural network and imaging processing techniques. Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ.1) is used as the neural network approach by extracting leukemia cells of ALL and AML. The image extraction used in this study is to use the color extraction of Hue saturation value color space and the texture feature of Gray level co-occurrence matrix. The experimental results show that the highest accuracy achieved by the proposed algorithm in identifying ALL is about 93.33% trained with 80% training data and tested with 20% testing data. On average, the proposed work yields about 70.31% accuracy to identify both blood cell types. In this sense, the proposed algorithm can classify ALL and AML well.
In this paper, a low cost 28 GHz Antenna-in-Package (AIP) for a 5G communication system is design... more In this paper, a low cost 28 GHz Antenna-in-Package (AIP) for a 5G communication system is designed and investigated. The antenna is implemented on a low-cost FR4 substrate with a phase shift control integrated circuit, AnokiWave phasor integrated circuit (IC). The unit cell where the array antenna and IC are integrated in the same plate constructs a flexible phase array system. Using the AIP unit cell, the desired antenna array can be created, such as 2 × 8, 8 × 8 or 2 × 64 arrays. The study design proposed in this study is a 2 × 2 unit cell structure with dimensions of 18 mm × 14 mm × 0.71 mm. The return loss at a 10 dB bandwidth is 26.5–29.5 GHz while the peak gain of the unit cell achieved 14.4 dBi at 28 GHz.
