Papers by Neall Calvert
This book shows how rain and darkness transform ordinary commercial spaces into scenes of unexpected beauty and wonder. It also traces the author’s journey from displacement to belonging as he finds home in the wildness and weather of northern Vancouver Island. Raining Glory meditates on rain as both atmosphere and metaphor—an agent of connection, memory and inner renewal.
By day’s end, with a final contrail pointing the way home, he recognizes that genuine peace arises not from resisting the world’s darkness but from cultivating clarity, empowerment and acceptance within. (With five of the author’s published photographs of jet streams.)
