Industry 4.0 and related technologies will remain at the top agenda of manufacturing systems unti... more Industry 4.0 and related technologies will remain at the top agenda of manufacturing systems until respective digital transformation is completed. In order to increase the speed of the transformation and the respective performance, a taxonomy of industry 4.0 is proposed in this chapter. The taxonomy is defined through four aspects including strategic understanding, managerial practices, technological infrastructure and developments, as well as human intervention with respective skills and competencies. Each aspect of these is defined and further subcategorized in order to reveal the real dynamics of industry 4.0 and respective implementations. Generating the taxonomy would also easy the categorization of the respective efforts and make the assessment processes to be carried out more effectively. It is also believed that the proposed taxonomy will be the source of generating a maturity model of industry 4.0. Note that the proposed taxonomy and respective components are defined by reviewing 620 papers, maturity models, and industry 4.0 projects.

A generic model to measure the success of forecasting overall technological changes is introduced in this paper, called degree of Technological Forecasting Capability. It measures the success rate of forecasts in manufacturing processes based on four important aspects of a manufacturing system; Flow Time, Quantity/Day, Scrap Ratio, and New Investment Revenue. The proposed approach has been verified with a case study in manufacturing industry, where each of 4 facets have been calculated based on the data provided and aggregated into the degree of forecasting capability.

Bilişim sistemlerinin ve dijitalleşme hareketinin doğal bir sonucu olarak günümüz dünyası 4. topl... more Bilişim sistemlerinin ve dijitalleşme hareketinin doğal bir sonucu olarak günümüz dünyası 4. toplumsal dönüşüm sürecini yaşamaktadır. Bu dönüşüm süreci özellikle endüstriyel yaşamı köklü değişiklikleri uygulama zorunda bırakacak şekilde gelişmektedir. Geleceğin imalat vizyonunun 4 temel bileşeni bulunmaktadır. Bunlar "ürün", "zeka", "iletişim", "bilgi ağı" olacak şekilde gelişmektedir. Bu 4 temel bileşeni hareketlendirmek üzere Siber fiziksel sistemler, sensörler, nesnelerin interneti, makineler arası iletişim (M2M), zeki bilgi ağları ve güvenli bulut bilişim ortamları yaygın olarak gelişmektedir. Bu gidişat doğal olarak ürün tasarımı, süreç tasarımı, kalite yönetimi, pazarlama gibi tüm süreçleri de etkisi altına almakta ve kapsamlı bir süreç inovasyonu ile süreç dönüşümü gerçekleşmektedir. İşletmelerin tüm süreçlerini etkilediği gibi bu değişim ve dönüşüm tedarik süreçlerinin de yeniden yapılandırılmasını gerektirmektedir. Özellikle 4 Parti, 5 Parti ve 6 Parti Lojistik hizmetlerinin yaygın olarak kullanım alanı bulmasına yol açacak iş modellerinin gelişeceği görülmektedir. Bu makale dördüncü endüstri devrimi ile oluşan fırsatların ve yeniliklerin lojistik yönetimine etkisini irdelemektedir. Özellikle, lojistik yönetimi üzerindeki yenilikçi çözümler, IT çözümlerinin sektör üzerindeki etkilerine dikkatler çekilmiş ve Lojistik sektörde dördüncü dönüşümün sınırları çizilmeye çalışılmıştır. Diğer taraftan sektör aktörlerinin 4. Dönüşümü ve lojistik dünyasındaki etkilerini nasıl algıladıklarına yönelik bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anket yolu ile bilgi toplanmış, gerekli analizler yapılarak neticeleri raporlanmıştır.Bu çalışmanın ülkemizde lojistik sektörünün yeni toplumsal dönüşüm sürecinde aktif olarak yol alabilmesi için rehberlik edecek bulgular sunulmaktadır. Bu kapsamda genel hatları ile işlemelerin uygulayabilecekleri bir yol haritasının oluşturulması hedeflenmiştir. Bu yol haritasının temel felsefesini günümüzde lojistik sektöründe hangi teknolojilerin daha öncelikli olarak uygulanması ve bu kapsamda yatırım stratejilerinin belirlenmesi için gerekli olan unsurlara işaret edilmesi oluşturacaktır.

The proposed financial assessment approach is tested on a real life enterprise in order to define its financial competency. Literature Review on Financial Assessment Analysis The literature reveals that the financial ratios are generally used when analyzing financial competency of firms seeking for credit from especially the banks. Ratios are the results of the relationships between many indicators. As every ratio assesses a different aspect of business, various assessment models can be established by using statistical methods such as discriminant analysis Some of those are summarized below. Çağlar [6] evaluated a variety of scoring systems and provided a model for the prediction of the probability that enterprises especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) credited would or would not fall into financial difficulties. In this study, a number of financial indicators were used to predict the enterprises that were likely to fall into financial difficulties, with many variables known as 'dependent' and 'independent'. A logistic regression method a scoring model was created and tested with the chi-squared test. An enterprise is categorized in terms of credit eligibility. A similar study is carried out by Bodur and Teker [7], a scoring model with five general parameters

For real life project schedules multi-mode resource requirements remarkably increase the complexity of and enlarge the respective solution spaces. Therefore schedulers require systematic methodologies compatible with the real world implementations in order to generate cost effective schedules. Similarly, plastic injection molding is known to be a "make-to order" process. The manufacturing of the mold which is a unique and essential component of plastic injection is considered kind of a project. The aim of this study is set to investigate the possibility of utilizing Bees Algorithm for single-resource, multi-mode, resource-constrained mold project scheduling in order to generate a systematic approach to solve the problems of this nature. A Bee-Based Mold Scheduling Model is therefore proposed and employed on a set of problems with different dimensions for the proof of concept. Detail description of an injection molding project together with respective performance analysis is also provided. After the implementation of the proposed methodology, it is well proven that, even for high number of activities and limited resources, the proposed method generates suitable schedules for the projects of this kind the implementation and respective modelling is explained and the results are discussed in detail within the text.

Bu calismada yapay sinir agi kullanilarak tesis giris parametrelerinden (Sicaklik, Debi, pH, Askida Kati Madde-AKM, Kimyasal Oksijen Ihtiyaci KOI) cikis parametresi (Sicaklik, pH, AKM, KOI) tahmini yapilmistir. Uygulamada Sakarya Buyuksehir Belediyesine bagli SASKI Karaman atiksu aritma tesisi verileri kullanilarak elde edilen tahmin degerleri tartisilmistir.

Günümüzde her geçen gün hayatımızı daha çok etkileyen teknoloji, özellikle üretim sektöründe büyük öneme sahiptir. Teknolojik yetkinliği yüksek işletmelerin rekabet gücü de yüksek olduğundan pazar payları daha geniş olmaktadır. Özellikle üretim sektöründe yer alan işletmeler devamlılıklarını ve rekabetçi yapılarını koruyabilmeleri için birçok unsurun yanında teknoloji yönetimine de büyük önem vermeleri gerekmektedir. Teknolojik yetkinliğini arttıran işletmeler, böylece bünyelerinde kuracakları ARGE birimleri ile daha yenilikçi ürünler ve sistemler geliştirebilme yeteneğine sahip olabilmektedirler. İşletmelerde teknoloji yönetiminin çok önemli olduğu günümüzde, teknolojik yetkinliğin değerlendirilmesi ve ölçülebilmesi sonucunda işletmelerin kendi kapasitelerini tam olarak belirlemeleri ve açıklarını görebilmeleri için birtakım değerlendirme yöntemleri kullanmaları gerekmektedir. Daha çok performans değerlendirme kapsamında kullanılan yöntemler yerine yetkinlik bazlı değerlendirmelerin yapılarak daha iyi sonuçların alınabilmesi mümkündür. Bu çalışmada işletmelerde teknoloji yönetimi ve yetkinliğin önemi anlatılmış, bu konuda yayınlanmış çalışmalar incelenmiş ve işletmelerde yetkinlik değerlendirme modelini oluşturan beş yetkinlik alanından biri olan teknolojik yetkinliğin değerlendirilmesi model önerisi sunulmuştur.

Dördüncü Endüstriyel devrim olarak adlandırılan ve kısaca "Endüstri 4.0" olarak bilinen teknoloji... more Dördüncü Endüstriyel devrim olarak adlandırılan ve kısaca "Endüstri 4.0" olarak bilinen teknolojik gelişimler insan hayatı üzerinde önemli değişimlere yol açmaktadır. Yaşamın her alanında yeni sistemler, yaklaşım tarzları, yönetim sistemleri ortaya çıkmaktadır. Toplumların, önceleri tarım toplumundan endüstri toplumuna oradan enformasyon toplumuna oradan da bilgi toplumuna evrilmesi sadece imalat sistemlerinde değil aynı zamanda eğitim, sağlık, çevre gibi hizmet üretiminin kaçınılmaz olduğu alanlarda da kendisini göstermektedir. Literatürde sağlık 4.0, çevre 4.0, su 4.0, lojistik 4.0, eğitim 4.0 gibi kavramlara rastlamak mümkündür. Bu çalışmada özellikle eğitim 4.0 kavramı irdelenecek ve bilinen eğitim sistemlerinde olası değişimlere dikkat çekilecektir. Eğitim 4.0 ile bilinen eğitim sistemleri teknolojik gelişmeler ile bütünleşmekte ve inovasyon ağırlıklı bir yapıya bürünmektedir. Bu sebeple çalışmada, eğitim 4.0 sisteminin bileşenleri açıklanarak bu kapsamda sistemsel dönüşümün nasıl gerçekleştirilebileceğine yönelik bilgiler de verilecektir.
