However,Jew data are available to describe tire competencies of special educators to deliver sex education to tltese youtlr. Tire purpose of this study was to replicate a previous study examining tire extent tlrat preservice and inservice training activities prepared special educators to deliver sex educatio11 and their perceived competence levels. Tire results indicated that special education personnel receive minimal instruction in the delivery of sex education, yet perceive themselves to /rave average competencefor the delivery oft Ire content. Imp/ ica t ions for the results are discussed relative to personnel preparatio11 and research issues.
