This growing body of evidence may indicate a need for an adjusted program model for the medical camp industry with a strong theoretical grounding to address the other 51 weeks of the year. The following highlights both the strengths and shortcomings of the medical camp model while introducing a program framework that has the potential to produce more long term therapeutic outcomes upon return to integrated home life.
