Research linking proximity and time is still very limited, while the two variables are closely related to shopping activities. This study aims to examine the relationships between both material and immaterial proximity to retail loyalty; and the mediating role of time management and time saving (time convenience). This study used quantitative methods by means of PLS, where a total of 150 responses were collected from minimarket consumers in residential areas in Indonesia using a purposive sampling method. The results show that access, functional and social proximities affect time management, while time saving factors are only functional and relational proximities. Both time management and time saving have a positive relationship with loyalty. The mediation test found that time management mediates the effects of access, functional and social proximities on loyalty. Meanwhile, time saving mediates the effects of functional and relational proximities on loyalty. This finding mainly fills a gap in research that is still limited in linking the immaterial dimensions of intimacy and customer loyalty. This research enriches the concept of location for the service industry, especially retailers and provides practical implications in store operational management.

Specifically, this study explores the moderating effects of coercive pressure.Design/methodology/approachTo test the proposed hypotheses, this study conducted survey among middle-level leaders of the 11 top universities (autonomous higher education institutions – AHEIs) in Indonesia. This study used a sample of 92 respondents, deans 21 and vice deans 71 of 11 top Indonesian universities. To test data processing using the SmartPLS 3.0 tool.FindingsThe findings indicate that learning capacity for change is the starting point of OCC, and it influences process capacity and context capacity for change. Coercive pressure strengthens the relationship between learning capacity and context capacity for change. Further, context capacity for change determines organisational performance.Originality/valueThis study empirically examines the OCC construction mechanism as follows: learning capacity for change influences process capacity for change and then has an effect on the OCC for change, which ultimately affects organisational performance.

This study aims to fill gaps in the literature by scientifically discussing contributions and highlighting the main issues with previous research findings regarding the dimensions that comprise them, as well as the antecedents and consequences of OCC. Design/methodology/approach This paper searched all research that studied OCC and published from 2005 to 2020. In total, 48 studies out of 249, found on Scopus and EBSCO-host, were included in the review. Findings This research found that OCC is a complex concept and that it has many definitions and dimensions. The findings also suggest that existing research has found that a number of organizational and individual factors are antecedents of OCC and have consequences for organizational outcomes. Research limitations/implications This review was only conducted on scientific publications from two article databases. Future research should search other databases on OCC as the broad concept may provide additional insights. Originality/value Literature on OCC is limited, and there is still no generally accepted definition of OCC, the different perspectives and measurement dimensions. On the other hand, for academics and practitioners, this study provides a comprehensive, critical systematization of the limited OCC academic literature. This study also offers opportunities for further research to address the limitations of empirical testing of OCC constructs, antecedents and consequences of the various theories and methodologies.

The sample of this study consisted of 102 members of 15 different credit cooperatives in East Java as the research participants. The research objective of this study was to determine the effect of empowerment programs on the welfare of the members. The empowerment programs were divided into (1) educational, (2) training, (3) savings and loan, and (4) network development programs. The results showed that the empowerment programs through education and training programs had a significantly positive effect on increasing the welfare of the members, while the savings and loan programs as well as the network building program did not significantly affect the welfare of the members. This was possible because members who already had networks and received funding assistance would not succeed without good education and training programs. The research was expected to contribute academically in the development of savings and loan cooperative unions (CUs) and provide a foundation and solution for all CU administrators in developing the CUs, especially in improving the welfare of their members.
