A commonly wasted agricultural waste, pomegranate peel has attracted attention as a useful biomaterial with a wide range of potential uses. Fruit and vegetable wastes create environmental difficulties, as well as a loss of valuable biomass and a financial cost to enterprises, due to its high biodegradability.

SERDANG, 4 August 2026 – The Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organized a Research Proposal Writing Workshop aimed at strengthening researchers' competencies in developing high-quality, impactful, and competitive research proposals for grant applications. The workshop brought together academics, researchers, and postdoctoral fellows to enhance their understanding of effective proposal development strategies that align with the expectations of research funding agencies.
