Unpaid care work is worth an estimated US$11 trillion globally, yet only 33% of organisations offer additional paid leave linked to caregiving responsibilities. As populations age and working lives grow longer, more people are balancing their careers with caring for children, ageing parents, or loved ones with disabilities. Yet many workplaces are still built around the expectation of constant availability. Supporting caregivers is not simply about flexibility. It is about building workplaces where people can thrive without having to choose between their work and those who depend on them. Our latest article explores why caregiving is becoming one of the defining workforce challenges of our time, and what organisations can do to respond. Today, we welcomed our global financial community to the fifth edition of Global Banking Day, broadcast live from our Headquarters in Milan. This year's theme – The Journey Beyond Ourselves – reflects our commitment to strengthening our long-term leadership in a labour market undergoing profound transformation. Why do partnerships matter for sustainable development? 🤝 According to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Report 2025, progress across the SDGs depends on effective collaboration between the private sector, public institutions and civil society. Without strong partnerships, structural challenges in the labour market cannot be addressed at scale. At Gi Group Holding, our approach to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals is built on collaboration with international organisations, industry networks, institutions and NGOs. Together, we develop joint projects and act in a spirit of shared responsibility to enhance the reach and impact of our initiatives. Through these partnerships, we support cross-border mobility, invest in skills and employability, promote inclusion and contribute to more resilient, accountable and sustainable labour markets. Discover how we turn shared principles into action. 👉 https://lnkd.in/ednYn29f

Work has always been more than a paycheck. It is where hands meet purpose, where ideas take shape, where time is given and meaning is received in return. But the rhythm of work is shifting. Automation hums, demographics evolve, and the values we once held firm begin to loosen, to make space for something else. What that something is - that is for us to decide. 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 explores work not as a machine, cold and transactional, but as a human story. One in which care, heritage, and nurture are not luxuries but necessities. Within these pages, you will find stories of those who embody this philosophy, woven with the numbers that define our time. You will not find definitive answers, but rather questions to reflect on, discuss and carry forward. 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 is out today. Discover the stories shaping a new understanding of work. Read it, share it, and be part of the conversation: https://lnkd.in/dAMRh69u #GiGroupHolding #MoreThanWork
