Leadership is measured by the impact you create. Congratulations to Cohort 9 of the European Management Development Programme on successfully completing their 12-month development journey. Bringing together colleagues from across Europe, the programme develops the leadership, coaching, influencing and business skills needed to drive continuous improvement, strengthen collaboration and deliver lasting value for our business and customers. Throughout the programme, participants worked in cross-functional teams to deliver projects that addressed real business challenges, including the following ideas: • Tech for Good – giving retired laptops a second life through a recycling initiative that supports our sustainability ambitions. • Digital Birthday Cards – introducing a simple digital solution to improve colleague recognition and engagement. • Developing Microsoft Teams-based reminders for process-critical actions using platforms already available across the business. • Creating a digital space that helps colleagues connect by sharing roles, responsibilities and personal interests, making collaboration across teams easier. • Carrier Emissions Research – providing insights to support more informed decisions around carrier emissions and sustainability. These projects demonstrate what can be achieved when colleagues from different countries, business units and disciplines work together towards a common goal. The solutions developed will continue to support collaboration, innovation, operational excellence and our sustainability ambitions across Yusen Logistics.
