JCR Pharmaceuticals has received marketing authorization in the UAE for IZCARGO™, a blood-brain barrier-penetrating enzyme replacement therapy for Hunter syndrome. The approval marks the first marketing authorization for IZCARGO™ outside of Japan. The therapy was approved and launched in Japan in 2021, while a global Phase III clinical trial is ongoing to support its broader international development. Envirotainer has opened its sixth station in India, doubling the capacity of its existing Mumbai operation. The facility has been established ahead of the expected launch of cargo operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport later this year, preparing Envirotainer to support future growth and increasing demand for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics across the region. The Navi Mumbai station adds local preconditioning for parcel and ProofTainer solutions, with a dedicated repair and service centre also planned. Cold Chain Technologies has launched EcoFlex XS, a new extra-small addition to its reusable shipping portfolio, designed for clinical trial samples, pharmaceutical product samples, blood and diagnostic materials, and other small-volume temperature-sensitive shipments. The new three-litre shipper is available in refrigerated, controlled room temperature and frozen configurations. It is approximately 25% smaller and lighter than the existing EcoFlex Small, helping to reduce freight costs while maintaining thermal protection.
