Not Instagram worthy, but a star in your logistics. When considering buying lower quality pallets many will doubt because they are afraid that the quality means compromised load bearing capacity, but that could not be further from the truth. Our most popular products are II grade 1200x800 and 600x800 pallets (they can also be made in different dimensions). They are strong, reliable, and do the job just as well as I grade pallets would. So what’s the catch? Because we offer II grade with bark, the pallets can’t be heat-treated and marked with IPPC stamp. But for the inside EU business, it is a great deal that helps to save on packaging costs without compromising on the packaging product role.

Heat-treatment, and when you need it. Heat-treatment is a process in which timber or timber products are placed in a kiln and heated until the core temperature of the thickest part reaches 56 °C. This temperature is held for at least 30 minutes. Wood-boring insects, beetles, larvae, and nematodes are eliminated in this process. The products later are marked with the IPPC ( ISPM 15) symbol. This process protects against the spread of harmful pests being transported across borders. When do you need heat treatment for your wooden packaging? The answer is very straightforward: if your products travel across borders, you will need your packaging to be heat-treated and marked as such. The European Union has an agreement that the IPPC treatment is not necessary when the products are traveling inside the Union borders, but you must always think about where the products will travel next.

Dovile said that most of her messages start with „So that you know“. She has been working in logistics for over 15 years, and the key takeaway she has from it is: “Do not keep anyone in the dark. No one is mad because the truck is late; people are mad because they find out too late about it“. Small updates about border passing being slower than usual, the loading slot has shifted by an hour, or the truck being 40 minutes late make all the difference. Silence is the most expensive thing a supplier can offer; that is why we work so hard to keep everyone updated.

For the past four months, we have been working with a client who was ready to order immediately. But as soon as we got the product specification, we knew something was off. The pallet design was unnecessarily complex, making the packaging solution significantly more expensive, without adding any real value for the product application. Through close collaboration and detailed discussions, we optimized the pallet's design and reduced costs without compromising the quality, durability, or load-baring capacity. The test shipment is on its way, and we are confident that the pallet will successfully pass its performance evaluation. More importantly, our redesign has optimized their logistics operations, and instead of selling right away, we will gain another long-term partner for our business.

In Lithuania, we say: measure 9 times, cut on the 10th. We measure a few more times after the cut, too. Here's why. 18 years in pallet manufacturing taught us that problems don't start at the destination. They start the moment someone thinks, "it will be fine." The human eye cannot tell the difference between 15mm and 17mm. A measuring tool can. That 2mm difference is invisible until it isn't. So we built boring routines. We catch problems before they leave our facility. That's the job. And full transparency — we don't actually measure 9 times. Six at most. 😅
