⚖️ EU sets course for binding MOAH limits in food    The EU is preparing harmonised maximum levels for MOAH in food, expected to apply from 2027 under an amendment to Regulation (EU) 2023/915. This marks a significant change for food businesses, as legal requirements for contamination control, monitoring, and risk assessment will apply across a wide range of product groups for the first time. Maximum levels for nickel in food in the EU⚖   With the amendment to Regulation (EU) 2023/915 in July 2025, the EU introduced harmonised maximum limits for nickel in food for the first time, with additional limits for cereals applying from July 2026. Eurofins Viracor Launches BKV inSIGHT™ T-Cell Immunity Panel🛡️ Eurofins Viracor is pleased to announce the commercial launch of the BKV inSIGHT™ T-Cell Immunity Panel (TCIP), a novel immune monitoring assay designed to provide insight into a patient's virus-specific cellular immune response during the early stages of clinical decision-making. BK virus remains a significant clinical challenge following kidney transplantation. This novel assay measures BK virus (BKV) -specific T-cell immunity in patients experiencing significant levels of BK viremia, providing clinicians with immune response information that may help identify patients with the capacity for immunological control of BK viral replication. With a turnaround time of 3-4 business days from receipt of specimen, the BKV inSIGHT™ T-Cell Immunity Panel provides healthcare professionals with a new tool to evaluate virus-specific immune function and support comprehensive monitoring of transplant patients at risk for BK virus-associated complications. 🌈 Donuts for diversity and a shared message.   To mark Pride Month, a global celebration in June that promotes inclusion, equality and the freedom for everyone to be themselves, some of our teams organised colourful activities with a powerful message.   Following their attainment of Gold Pride Champion status on the UHLALA Group’s PRIDE Champion Index for 2025 earlier this year, Eurofins Umwelt Deutschland continues to demonstrate its commitment to cultivating an inclusive environment for all employees with its latest initiative. The team was treated to rainbow donuts accompanied by pins emblazoned with empowering messages, transforming a simple coffee break into a powerful statement anchored in celebrating diversity and amplifying LGBTIQ+ topics in the workplace. In Braga, Portugal, teams from the Eurofins Shared Service Centre organised a colourful walk and run to celebrate Pride Month. The Eurofins Group Service Centre (GSC) in Dublin, Ireland recently celebrated the formal opening of its new state-of-the-art office! Eurofins has reached an agreement with Element Materials Technology to acquire its Life Sciences Testing Services business in North America. Element’s North America Life Sciences Testing Services includes a range of Biopharma product testing, Environmental testing and Food testing services, offered by a network of 27 laboratories and facilities. Dr Gilles Martin, Eurofins CEO: “We look forward to welcoming Element’s North American Life Sciences Testing Services teams into Eurofins. This acquisition is a natural fit with Eurofins’ existing businesses, and can build on our well invested, efficient and digital laboratories platform to help drive unique levels of service to customers across the continent.” The transaction is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in Q4 2026.

🌿 The Eurofins network in India was proud to participate in the Guinness World Record tree plantation initiative in Bengaluru, contributing to the collective effort to plant 15 lakh native saplings in just 12 hours.  It was inspiring to join fellow organisations and volunteers who came together with a shared commitment to building a greener, healthier future.
