For years, symptoms are dismissed, misunderstood, or normalised without real answers. And many women go through perimenopause not even knowing what’s happening to their bodies. We’re here to change that. From perimenopause to post-menopause, Menopause Asia brings together medical expertise, personalised care, and practical support, so women can understand what’s happening, explore their options, and make informed decisions about their health. Because this stage of life isn’t the problem. Not understanding it is.

  • Yesterday, Menopause Asia had the privilege of spending the afternoon with a group of women (and a few men!) at Manulife KL. Our Medical Advisor, Dr Sangeet Kaur Kaur, and Founder, Joanne Ho, spoke about what perimenopause really looks like in the workplace. The symptoms that are often mistaken for stress, the biology behind brain fog and fatigue, and how evidence-based clinical support can help women thrive through this stage of life. What stood out most was the discussion that followed. The questions reflected a need for more open conversations about midlife women's health in professional settings. The moment that stayed with us most came after the session, when a group of women approached us and said: "Thank you for finally having this important conversation with us." That reminder is exactly why we do this. Supporting women through midlife isn't just a health issue. It's a workplace wellbeing, retention, and inclusion issue. Creating awareness helps employees feel seen, supported, and better equipped to seek the care they need. If you lead a team, work in HR, or oversee employee wellbeing, we'd love to bring one of our corporate menopause education sessions to your organisation. 📩 Send us a DM or email us at hi@menopauseasia.com to learn more about Menopause Asia's corporate wellness programmes. #SeenAtMidlife #MenopauseAsia #MidlifeWomen #WomensHealth #CorporateWellness

  • Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. Only 56% of us are aware. For decades, women's heart health was understood through the lens of male physiology. In 2020, the American Heart Association finally named what midlife women had been feeling: the menopause transition is when cardiovascular risk accelerates — and it's also the window where action matters most. But here's the most important part: action during this window changes the trajectory of the next 30 years. You're not too late. You're right on time. This Thursday, join our second AMA with Dr. Rowina Murray, Clinical Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara. She'll go deeper on what your hormones mean for your heart, and what to actually do about it. ✨ To join us, register here: https://shorturl.at/38OPZ 🗓️ Thu 4 June · 8pm 💻 Online via Microsoft Teams 🎟️ Free · with Dr. Rowina Murray

At Menopause Asia, we believe intervention needs to start way before 60. Menopause doesn't always sound clinical. When women get together and actually talk, really talk, it sounds like this. 𝑅𝑎𝑠𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑠 𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑑𝑎𝑘. 𝑂𝑡𝑎𝑘 𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑘𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑠. 𝑆𝑢𝑠𝑎ℎ𝑙𝑎ℎ 𝑡𝑖𝑑𝑢𝑟. 𝐾𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑖 𝑏𝑎𝑤𝑎ℎ. And sometimes there aren't even words for it. Just a feeling that something is off, that your body doesn't quite feel like yours anymore, but you can't explain it in a way that anyone, including your doctor, will take seriously. Because so many women come to us not knowing what's happening to them. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐭. And when they do finally find the words, they're often told it's stress, or age, or that they just need to push through. This carousel was built because the experience of menopause in Malaysia, in Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, and everything in between, deserves to be named in the languages women actually live in. And I'm here for every woman who has struggled to find the right words. Who left a doctor's appointment feeling dismissed. Who has been managing symptoms alone because nobody around her is talking about it. You deserve a doctor who listens. You deserve care that actually makes sense for your life That's what we're building at Menopause Asia. For educational purposes only. Not medical advice. ------------------------ Joanne Ho Founder, Menopause Asia | Menopause Coach 💬 Here to talk about menopause the way it should be talked about - openly, honestly, and unapologetically. www.menopauseasia.com #SeenAtMidlife #MenopauseAsia #WomensHealth #MidlifeWomen #WomenInLeadership

Menopause doesn’t always sound clinical. It sounds like real life, in the words women actually use every day. Across Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, and everything in between - these experiences are shared, felt, and often misunderstood Because menopause isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s cultural. It’s personal.
