I actually don't see this as a story about 5,000 followers. I see it as a story about how far a simple habit of sharing knowledge can go. FIVE THOUSANDS. Back in 2019, I wasn't writing for LinkedIn. I wasn't building a personal brand. I wasn't thinking about followers. At that time, I was simply sharing what I learned with my internal team. The topics ranged from cybersecurity engineering to cybersecurity presales. Whether it was explaining a new technology, discussing security architectures, documenting lessons learned from projects, or helping the team position cybersecurity solutions for customers, the goal was always the same. If one person learned something today, the whole team would become stronger tomorrow. As time went on, my friends Ikram Asraf (CEH,CTFL,CIPA,CIAE) and Juhari Mokhtar kept encouraging me to share those lessons beyond the walls of our organization. They believed the knowledge could benefit a much wider audience. So I started sharing publicly through my blog SyberSeeker and also LinkedIn. I never imagined it would grow into a community of 5,000 cybersecurity professionals, researchers, students, and practitioners. Looking back, I realize that SyberSeeker has become much more than a blog. It has become a place where I share my thoughts, research, and experiences across many areas of cybersecurity. Together, we've explored: 1. Cybersecurity Engineering and Security Architecture 2. Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) 3. Attack Surface Management and Digital Risk Exposure 4. Third Party and Vendor Risk Management 5. AI in Cybersecurity 6. Security Leadership and Governance 7. Cybersecurity Philosophy and Human Decision Making 8. Cyber Risk Quantification and Cyber Trust research through VoronIQ Lab, including VoronRAV and CTDM. Although the topics have evolved, one belief has never changed. Knowledge only creates value when it is shared. Every discussion, every thoughtful disagreement, every question, and every conversation has challenged me to think more critically, communicate more clearly, and become a better cybersecurity practitioner. The number may be 5,000, but what I'm truly grateful for is the community behind it. This is only the beginning. I'll continue researching, writing, building practical cybersecurity models, exploring the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, and sharing everything I learn because that's how SyberSeeker started in 2019, and that's how I hope it will continue for many years to come.
