Thin Metal Technologies

Over ons

Bosch Thin Metal Technologies (TMT) in Tilburg stands for precision metalworking and plays an important role in the energy transition. With decades of experience, we develop and manufacture thin metal components with demanding quality requirements, such as pushbelts and gas foil bearings. In addition, we realize prototypes, samples, and small series for innovative and sustainable industrial applications. As Bosch’s R&D center for electrolyzer technology, we work on the development of electrolyzer stacks and bipolar plate technology. In doing so, we actively contribute to accelerating clean energy solutions. Working at TMT means contributing to advanced technology in an international environment where innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration are at the core. Our premises in Tilburg form the foundation for the Energy Conversion Campus, an initiative that is currently under full development. This campus brings together an ecosystem of innovative and enthusiastic companies and institutions, with the shared goal of stimulating the green energy transition.

Should we say we are suprised that we are part (at 00:14) of the Bosch video of this year (again)? Maybe. But actually that is not true. Because we aren't surprised. Because at Bosch Thin Metal Technologies we are doing things differently. 👊 We match the technology needs for the future with our expertise to shape the sustainable technologies for the future. Whether it may be in fuel cell or electrolyzer technology or any other field in which thin metal products with stringent requirements are needed. The world is changing, our company is changing, but we remain driven to create technology for life 🌍

At Bosch, we are developing forward – with confidence: Today's Bosch annual press conference wasn't just about looking back at the figures of our 2025 business year. It was also about our focus for the future, about the right and necessary responses to geopolitical challenges, and about how new technologies, pioneering innovations, and strategic partnerships are shaping our company. In 2026, we intend to exploit the growth prospects in our global markets. As one of the most prolific patent applicants in Europe and one of the strongest industrial companies in the world, our innovative strength has always set us apart. It isn't just about incremental improvements; it's about pioneering breakthroughs that are "Invented for life." And I am proud to see that that's exactly what Bosch associates around the world are continuously working hard on. Last year presented its share of complexities for us: While our sales revenue of 91 billion euros remained stable compared to 2024, our EBIT of approximately 2% fell below both the previous year's level and our own expectations. This result, while within an acceptable range given the challenging operating environment and extraordinary expenses, clearly signals the need to further enhance our profitability and competitiveness. Thanks to our associates' efforts, the year 2025 saw numerous Bosch innovations: From the BMI5 sensor platform that creates artificial environments extremely realistically and helps robots find their way around even under difficult conditions to our new AI Extension Platform – an AI-capable high-performance computer – that, in conjunction with an interior sensing solution, can turn driving into a highly personalized experience. And from highly specialized quantum sensors to products such as the first BSH oven with an AI-supported voice function, and many more. We're also using our combination of thinking globally and acting locally as a decisive advantage in a geopolitically fragmented world, transferring our innovative and efficient solutions from our lead markets to the whole world – exactly the way our customers expect us to. All of this brings us to the position we are in, and sets us on track for our goals: ➡️ We want to be among the top three companies in all our key markets. ➡️ We want to achieve an average annual increase in sales of 6 to 8 percent. ➡️ And we want to generate a margin of at least 7 percent. Facing the current headwinds, achieving these goals might take a little longer, but I have no doubt that we will achieve them fairly soon by continuing to focus on our innovative strength – developing forward "For tomorrow. Today." More examples of how we're shaping the future can be found in our #ForTomorrowToday digital annual report: https://lnkd.in/eWVZp_Pg
