The European Commission has adopted the 𝗘𝗥𝗖 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, which sets out a range of funding opportunities, budgets and timelines. The new Work Programme also introduces several changes that provide researchers with greater flexibility. The first call under the new work programme has already opened. The first guidelines for the 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 (𝗜𝗙𝟮𝟲) 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 have been published. The fourth hydrogen auction will have a budget of up to € 500 million and is scheduled to open in 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. A public consultation is now open for market participants, industry associations and other stakeholders. They have until 24 August 2026 to submit their feedback. A new 𝗖𝗘𝗙 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 call has been published for organisations that help strengthen Europe’s capacity to repair undersea communication cables. € 40 million is available through this call to enhance the resilience of digital infrastructure. Innovation projects focusing on areas such as the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean and other European sea basins are eligible. Applications can be submitted until 𝟴 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. What does it take to turn a roadside restaurant into one of the most future-proof truck service hubs in the Netherlands? 🚛 De Gouden Leeuw in Zevenbergschen Hoek had the vision, a fully secured truck parking with 267 spaces right alongside the A16, tackling one of Europe's most persistent logistics challenges: the chronic shortage of safe overnight parking for lorry drivers. The ambition was there. The plan was solid. What was needed was the right expertise to unlock European funding. That's where Hezelburcht came in: we guided De Gouden Leeuw through the entire CEF Transport grant process. From feasibility analysis to final submission, and the result speaks for itself: nearly € 4.2 million in European funding awarded. ✅ Construction began in the summer of 2025 and is fully on track. Phase 1 — 116 truck parking spaces at the rear of the restaurant — is already operational. The new DCB Energy filling station has been completed, and further phases are currently being finalised. Upon completion, the site will offer 267 secured parking spaces for lorries, including all associated driver facilities. We are proud of our collaboration with De Gouden Leeuw!
