𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 – 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 The ongoing wildfires in France are causing road closures, access restrictions, and significant traffic disruptions in several areas. As a result, transport operations across France may experience delays, including shipments to destinations outside the directly affected regions. In parts of the Gironde region, deliveries are currently temporarily unavailable. Wildfires are also affecting parts of Spain. At this time, however, our transport operations there are not experiencing any impact. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are doing everything possible to minimise the impact on our services. The safety of our drivers, partners, and everyone involved remains our highest priority. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we hope the situation is brought under control soon. I would like to take a moment to reflect on a journey that has given me more than I could ever have imagined. My passion for logistics started early. As a young boy I joined my father to his work during the weekends and that is where my fascination with trucks, transport and logistics started. Looking back, those moments became part of the foundation that shaped both my career and who I am today. The real adventure began in 1985 and for that I owe much gratitude to Joop van der Graaf. In 1999, at KLG, my focus expanded from transport into freight forwarding and logistics. A significant part of that journey was my collaboration with Ad Kuijken and Kees Kuijken, for which I am sincerely grateful. Together with Kees, I travelled extensively across Europe and the Far East, always looking ahead and embracing new opportunities. Standing still was never an option. The years flew by, and this business became more than a career—it became a way of life, my way of life. During the last seven years, under KLG’s new shareholder Sinotrans, we had further success and we continued the company’s growth. I am grateful for the continuous appreciation, trust and respect from the Sinotrans board until the very end and for what we have achieved together. There is one more thing that I would like to point out, which is that success is never achieved alone. I have been incredibly fortunate to work with exceptional colleagues, loyal customers, trusted agents, and valued business partners. Many of those professional relationships grew into lasting friendships, and that is something I will always treasure. To everyone who has been part of this journey: thank you. Thank you for your trust, support, loyalty, collaboration, and for the countless memories we created together over the years. I will now close this chapter and embrace new opportunities and challenges. While saying goodbye is never easy, I do so with immense pride and gratitude. I look back on an extraordinary career filled with entrepreneurship, dedication, growth, and unforgettable experiences around the world. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey. The memories, friendships, and experiences will stay with me forever.
