  • Fear is one of the biggest reason why banks delay replacing legacy banking infrastructure. But doing nothing carries its own risks. We've worked with hundreds of financial institutions on this problem, and the honest answer is that there's no single right path. There are, however, five proven transformation models worth knowing: - Greenfield: Build from scratch with a clean slate - Shared legacy: Launch a new fintech using existing infrastructure - Dual core: Run a new composable core alongside your legacy system - Speedboat: Spin off a separate, independently operating entity - Full migration: Replace your legacy core entirely The right choice depends on your business goals, customer needs and appetite for change. To make the decision easier, we've distilled our experience into a practical guide which you can access her: https://lnkd.in/eEsrSRcX

If your core banking system wasn't built for real-time data access, how will you compete in agentic banking? That question is splitting the financial services into two classes right now. Zafeirios Argyropoulos spoke with customers and industry experts to understand where AI is delivering real business value today. What he found is that tier 1 banks are already using agentic AI to drive revenue and improve operations, while many smaller institutions are still experimenting with standalone AI tools. In this blog, Zaf explores what's driving that divide, the sovereign AI risks smaller banks face, and what tech foundation you actually need to move at the speed of AI: https://lnkd.in/eAVNt3Vn

  • We are proud to share that we are now a certified Swift Business Connect provider. This certification allows financial institutions to access Swift's global network of 12,000 institutions through a fully managed, cloud-native model, directly integrated into the Mambu Payments hub. As a result, our customers like Bank B, Outpayce and BCB Group are able to scale payments globally, serving millions of customers. The certification builds on our broader strategy of delivering a unified payments infrastructure layer that brings together scheme connectivity, bank connectivity, and payment orchestration in a single platform. The offering is now available to banks, fintechs, neobanks, payment institutions and electronic money institutions globally. Read the full press release to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eCBCg5Yd

The uncomfortable truth about AI in banking? The banks seeing the most traction aren't the ones with the best models. It’s the ones with the cleanest infrastructure underneath. That's what Adrian Congiu, VP, Head of Product at Mambu, shared in our latest conversation for The Mambu View. Most banks are stuck chasing AI ambitions on legacy cores that weren't built for real-time, intelligent banking. Cloud-native helps, but it doesn't automatically mean AI-ready. You can have modern architecture that still locks data in silos and forces manual steps. In this episode we cover: - How AI is reshaping what cores need to do - Why data foundations matter more than model quality - How AI agents augment human decision-making - What regulators now expect from intelligent systems Without the right infrastructure, you're limited to isolated experiments. With it, you unlock operational efficiency that legacy systems simply cannot access at scale. 👇 Watch the full video below

  • How do you scale a multi-currency financial ecosystem across nine markets without building core infrastructure from scratch? You compose it. This is how Global66 has scaled its multi-currency digital wallet across Latin American and the US. They built a financial ecosystem for money movement without needing to build core infrastructure themselves. Underpinned by AWS Partners, the results of this partnership speak for themselves: - More than 1 million wallets were created on Mambu in the first month of operation - 70% of cross-border transfers processed in under five minutes - US$1.4 billion in transaction volume reached in Q1 2026 alone But velocity is only half the story. Beyond fast cross-border money movement, Mambu provides structured access to deep account and transaction data. This foundational layer supports Global66’s AI-first strategy, driving smarter fraud prevention, automated risk management, and rapid business onboarding. Congratulations to Tomas Bercovich and the entire team at Global66 on these massive milestones. Read the success story here: https://lnkd.in/eY9g35fm

  • Regulators have opened the door to direct SEPA participation for eligible non-bank PSPs. But just because you can walk through it doesn't mean you should right now. ✅ When direct participation makes sense: You have the volume, compliance maturity, and liquidity capacity to justify the operational lift. You've reached the point where dependence on a sponsor bank is limiting your control over cost, operations, and customer onboarding. ❌ When it doesn't: You're early stage. Your sponsor's capabilities still align with yours. The infrastructure and compliance overhead outweighs the benefit. Indirect SEPA participation keeps operations simpler because your sponsor bank manages much of the infrastructure and scheme responsibility. Direct SEPA participation gives you greater control, better long-term economics, and more independence. But you're also responsible for infrastructure, liquidity management, and day-to-day operations that your sponsor bank previously handled. The question isn't whether you can do this. It's whether you should right now. The breakdown below maps out how direct and indirect participation compare, side by side. In this article we introduce a decision framework for non-bank PSPs, showing when moving beyond a sponsor bank makes sense and where it may not: https://lnkd.in/egPjWVF7

As one of Europe's leading developer conferences, DevBcn brought together top tech minds to explore Java, Cloud, Frontend, and AI. Amidst the cutting-edge tech, Mambu's own Gytenis Mikulenas, PhD and Toni N. took the stage to tackle one of engineering's most overlooked challenges: making code reviews truly impactful. They shared how we’re rethinking the process to turn a standard checkbox exercise into a powerful tool for knowledge sharing, mentorship, and team velocity. Thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by to connect with us. We're always looking for talented people to join our team. Legacy banking moves at legacy speed. That's the problem most banks can't solve. OSB Group chose a different path. By moving to a composable architecture with Mambu, they are modernising their entire balance sheet, from savings products to lending at scale. Pricing that changed in days now changes in hours. They've already launched buy-to-let at full scale, with residential mortgages currently rolling out. And they've got the flexibility to keep moving faster than the competition. Chris Healing and Samina Khan from OSB share how working with Mambu helped them turn ambitions into reality. Read more about the success story here: https://lnkd.in/e6_-H_pn

  • Everyone claims to be composable. Very few can show their working. So here's ours. Ten principles that show what to actually look for when a platform says composable. A few worth arguing about: → No single vendor is best at everything, so a curated ecosystem will always outperform a pre-integrated suite. → Continuous delivery, where updates land as small improvements, beats the big upgrade project that swallows your roadmap for a year. → Pricing should flex the way the software does. If scaling up means renegotiating licences, you're not really scaling. The full ten are in the graphic. If a core banking decision is on your agenda this year, it's worth asking your shortlist how many they can actually tick off.
