// Project Berlin - now taking shape inside ◻️ With her superstructure joined and her primer on, the 30.88-metre raised pilothouse has reached her outfitting phase in Waalwijk. From here the work moves inside, to the interior her owners will live in for extended periods, drawn to their brief and refined alongside them. Her salon carries the volume of a larger yacht on a 7-metre beam, and its forward windows drop away completely: single panes just under three metres long and two metres high, opening the room to the water. Keel laid November 2025, delivery scheduled for summer 2027, designed with Guido de Groot Design and built by our own craftsmen in Waalwijk. #projectberlin #vandervalkcustom

// New owners for Lady Lene ◻️ The 33.7-metre Van der Valk explorer yacht has recently been sold. The transaction saw Johnny Wise of Yachts360 Group introduce the buyer, while Barin Cardenas of YachtCreators represented the seller. Delivered in 2021, Lady Lene represented a significant milestone for Van der Valk Shipyard, both in scale and level of build quality at the time. Her naval architecture was developed by Diana Yacht Design and Jaron Ginton Naval Architects, with interiors by Carla Guilhem Design and exterior styling by Guido de Groot Design. The yacht's design draws on the golden age of yachting, reinterpreted through an Art Deco lens, and accommodates up to eight guests across four staterooms, including a VIP suite with private balcony on the bridge deck. Powered by twin MAN engines, Lady Lene cruises at 14 knots with a top speed of 18 knots. Her fast displacement hull, wave-piercing bow and Hull Vane transom wing deliver strong performance and fuel efficiency, while full ADA compliance ensures wheelchair accessibility throughout. The yacht's design and engineering have been widely recognised, receiving a Judges Commendation at the 2022 BOAT International Media World Superyacht Awards and 'Best Interior Design' at the 2023 BOAT International Media Design & Innovation Awards. Her proven naval architecture has since served as the basis for several bespoke yacht projects. // Van der Valk Shipyard appoints Evan Kortmann as CEO ◻️Van der Valk Shipyard has named Evan Kortmann as its new CEO, succeeding Enrico Theuns, who guided the company through a successful transition period since 2023, including the retirement of founder Wim van der Valk and continued growth in the 30m+ superyacht segment. Kortmann joins Technical Director Bram Kooltjes and Commercial Director Yoeri Bijker in the leadership team, with a focus on the yard's strength in fully custom 200–500 GT builds.
