General Manager Benelux

Our client Altavia - the world's leading independent retail marketing services network - is looking for a General Manager to lead its Benelux Business Unit, with full P&L ownership and direct reporting to international group leadership.

The role can be based either in Amsterdam or in Brussels.

Founded in 1983, Altavia brings together close to 2,800 experts across some 50 countries, helping retailers and brands build fruitful customer relationships through commercial activation, point-of-sale solutions, content management, and store design. Altavia works at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution - turning ideas into experiences that move the needle for some of the world's leading retail brands.

The role

As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the Benelux business - strategy, P&L, operations, and team.

This is a genuine leadership mandate, built around three things: you will drive commercial growth: building relationships with retail and FMCG decision-makers, leading the pursuit of strategic tenders, and growing Altavia's footprint with both existing and new clients across Belgium and the Netherlands.

You will shape the organisation: bringing structure, clarity, and a strong sense of direction to the teams you lead, while staying close to the day-to-day realities of the business and developing the next generation of leaders within it.

You will be the face of Altavia in the Benelux: representing the group with clients, partners, and the wider market, and acting as the key link between local ambition and the group's global strategy and innovation agenda.

What you bring

• A leader first: pragmatic, resourceful, and energising, with the experience of having run a business as your own - whether as a CEO or through hands-on, autonomous P&L management
• A genuine instinct for new business: you open doors, build relationships at the highest level, and close deals
• The ability to bring people together around a shared ambition and get the best out of a team, while keeping a clear eye on performance, margin, and results
• Comfortable operating in both French and Dutch, alongside English - one may be your stronger language, but you move easily between both, day to day
• Experience in commercial activation, retail marketing, or related fields is a strong plus, but leadership and commercial instinct matter more than the sector on your CV
