Jr. SHEQ Advisor

N-Sea is seeking a Junior Project EHS Advisor to support our IRM and UXO Business Line in the safe and effective delivery of high-impact projects. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ operational experience within IRM, light construction, or UXO Identification and Clearance, with at least 1–2 years’ offshore experience supporting IRM, Light Construction or UXO projects across the European and North Sea sectors.

The function of the role is to support the Project EHS function across IRM and UXO projects, assisting with the planning, coordination and implementation of project-specific health, safety and environmental requirements.

The role will involve supporting project teams with risk management, HSE documentation, vessel and offshore readiness, incident reporting, audits, inspections, client interface, and the implementation of safe systems of work. The candidate will work closely with Project Managers and Project EHS Advisors, operational teams and vessel crews to ensure project activities are delivered safely and in line with company, client and regulatory requirements.

This position is intended to provide structured exposure to project EHS delivery, allowing the candidate to develop their technical knowledge, offshore experience, and project leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the EHS Advisor in the development and implement Project EHS procedures including but not limited to EHS Plans, Emergency response and notification procedure.
• Play a support function in facilitating HAZID, HAZOP, and HIRA assessments in accordance with project risk management procedures along with key project team members.
• Participate in regular vessel and project safety audits and inspections.
• Support with Investigating incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics;
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards;
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks;
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in EHS practices;

Qualifications:

• Safety related certification (NEBOSH or Equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a EHS facing role, in the IRM, Light Construction or UXO offshore industry. With 1 to 2 years being offshore.
• Offshore certification (BOSIET/GWO) preferable;
• Well versed in subsea industry best practices and guidelines e.g IMCA and strong understanding of EHS regulations and standards;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
