Key Responsibilities

Ensure the development and continuous improvement of the Company HSE Policy and Management System following the local applicable legislation. Report to the Company HSE Manager or site manager on any HSE issues that occur on-site. Liaise continuously with the workforce and supervision on HSE issues.

You Are The First Point Of Ensuring The Fulfillment And Implementation Of HSE Requirements According To Local HSE Regulations. Verify The Adequacy And Application Of The Company And Site HSE-related Procedures Furthermore:

• Supervise HSE procedures implementation in the operative sites. You advise on necessary technical improvements.
• Liaise with the Procurement/operational Function for supplier and sub-contractor selection and HSE assessment.
• Check that Subcontractors perform their activities following all the HSE applicable procedures, regulations, standards, promo, and all necessary actions to ensure that such procedures and regulations are observed.
• Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE around, Inspections and Audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, and action plans, verify the follow-up and the timely implementation of the corrective actions.
• Liaise with HR Function to identify personnel HSE training needs and develop specific HSE training programs.
• Deliver Site HSE induction and planned internal HSE Awareness training.
• Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE Meetings.
• Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures
• Perform the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment Workshop.
• Monitor the evolution of Local HSE Legislation and provide consultancy to senior management.
• Plan and lead the company HSE Management Review meetings.
• Conduct internal HSE inspections.
• Spread HSE rules/standards/procedures/bulletins on site.
• Ensure adequate HSE reporting in line with Company procedures.
• Verify the compliance of the equipment utilized on-site following the applicable local regulations.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site.
• Prepare and administer HSE Key Performance Indicators for the operational activities.
• Monitor and maintain control measures in the use of hazardous materials.
• Supervise Environmental aspects on site, supporting key personnel.
• Participate in daily Toolbox Talk.
  
  

Candidate Profile

In Addition To Having a Solid Health, Safety, And Environment Junior Officer Background, You Must Have Good Verbal And Written Communication Skills With The Ability To Work Independently And Carefully. Fluent In Spoken And Written Dutch And English. Besides That:

• At least 1 year of experience in HSE activities within the Energy/logistic sectors in the Netherlands.
• HSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (i.e. MVK) is considered a plus.
• BHV proficiency is considered a plus.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools.
• Teamwork.
