𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! A couple of notable funding rounds from the Dutch ecosystem worth highlighting 👇 🔷 SolarDew Clean Water B.V. - This Wageningen-based startup has raised €800k to scale its solar-powered water purification technology. Their system converts brackish and salt water into clean drinking water using only solar energy and gravity. The round was funded by Connect the Drops B.V. and Oost NL. With pilots already running in Chile and Greece and new partnerships forming in Kenya, SolarDew is tackling one of the world’s most under-served challenges: access to safe drinking water. The company aims to install the next commercial projects before the end of 2026. Best of luck with your next steps, Alexander van der Kleij and team! 🔷 Eddy Grid - This Utrecht-based startup has raised €7.5M to scale its energy asset optimization platform. The round was funded by existing investors Graduate Ventures and Volve Capital. Eddy Grid develops algorithms that optimize the performance of solar, wind, and battery assets by trading energy in real time, while also helping alleviate grid congestion through smarter use of distributed storage. Having grown rapidly since its 2024 seed round, the company now manages over 500 MW of energy capacity and is preparing for international expansion, including entry into the German market. We look forward to your next milestones, Sam Rohn and team! Great to see capital flowing into solutions that tackle both water scarcity and grid congestion, two challenges that will only grow in importance. ⭐ At Emerging Giants, we support startups and scale-ups throughout their growth journey, from setup to exit, across tax, finance, operations, and more. We're always open for a conversation, feel free to get in touch!
