This paper presents a new self-adaptive suspension system multi-model. The performances are compared to those obtained with classical passive suspension systems multi-model. It presented a new principle for VZN-damper system whose performances are close to those of semi-active suspension systems and are also much higher than these in terms of operational safety and cost / performance to the classic passive suspension systems. The systems are similar in terms of physical components cousin. Because stiffness feedback position control of chassis is made with appreciable static error but static positioning error is not essential, as for suspension is to provide dynamic performance, better and better filtration induced perturbation way in the suspension entry system.

The dynamic system that was selected to verify the proposed solution, is represented by a flexible transmission, described by a complex four order model. Using the selected model adequacy index, it is studied the influence of the SPAB signal and perturbation amplitude, on the model adequacy and control solution, for two different tracking performances selections

The optimal PID controller is achieved to keep a steel ball hanged in the air in the desired position with relation to the electromagnet bottom end. The optimal PID controller is to keep the balance between the magnetic force and the ball's weight. Where the Linear Quadratic Regulator optimal approach is used to place the desired close loop in an optimal sense. In this paper, complete mathematical models of the mechanical, electrical, and magnetic suspension systems that take the Maglev model are presented with the important linearization of the Maglev nonlinear model. The design and simulations are used with Matlab/Simulink model package. This paper is presented very good results with the stability, overshoot, and strong response Results show that this optimal control approach can stabilize the position of the ball and has strong disturbance rejection.

Galati. The paper presents the results of the research performed by the authors on systems control and optimization for the operating process of the cowpers from the ISPAT-SIDEX steel plant. This system was developed on two relevant levels interconnected in a hierarchical control structure. The acquisition and control level was designed using specialized microcontrollers. The supervisor level for the optimization of the combustion process was implemented on an operator console. The solution of the optimization problem represents the optimal decision, translated in real-time procedure to the acquisition and level control.

However, it does not use any of the matrices of the filter and is therefore independent of it. The method uses a constant covariance matrix for the measurement noise and, at each iteration, it re-computes the values of the process noise covariance matrix. The proposed method and two other ones, selected from the literature, are tested to estimate the current generated by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator. All three methods are tested in the context of the Extended Kalman Filter. The obtained results are compared and discussed to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed approach.

We have proposed a hierarchical configuration of control by considering the external factors effects to assure the stability until the process operation. The study case in this paper was realized on a petrochemical plant which is a pyrolysis reactor that is located in the petroleum refinery of Pitesti, known as the greatest pole of oil separation and treatment in Romania. ...

The adopted solution is based on a multiple model structure. A solution for the switching strategy is proposed and its applicability is analyzed using a real-time structure implementation based on a RST control algorithm. Based on the software implementation, an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed solution is made.

A continous model with a discrete integrator is shown to be the best solution for the discretization of the nonlinear model. Then, the Kalman Filter (KF), the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the Unscented Kalman Filter are compared. The results are presented and it is shown that the EKF is the best suited for this application. Moreover, a discussion regarding the behaviour of the filters follows, where all are shown to act like proportional controllers.

Water management issues in the context of music festivals

Festivals are complex phenomena with high economic and socio-cultural impact. High CO2 emissions and huge resource consumption are commonly related to the festivals’ negative environmental impact. Ensuring the suitable amount of water for a large-scale event is essential for both the audience experience and the city residents, especially when their access to water is hindered by excessive water usage for the festival. Therefore, an accurate estimation of water consumption during festivals is a prerequisite for rigorous water planning. In the Covid-19 world, due to the worsening crisis of resources and to the increasing pressure exerted by audiences asking for more eco-conscious events, festival organizers are called to get together with other stakeholders and re-examine the water management issues. Water companies have already started to embrace digital solutions. Th...

After each part is tested in real time separately they are then integrated together to obtain the car system prototype and the C++ language is used to program the hardware component system to do its mission. This controls the car behavior which is developed in a real-time operating system as if it can become an autonomous vehicle for navigation purposes capable of avoiding collision as well as keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead on the road. The experimental results show the efficiency of this car model we developed. Further, the implementations on each car are made at low-cost, a fact which represents an advantage.

Their effect is noticeable on the spectrum of the stator currents, which is computed using the FFT. However, for a wind turbine, the spectrum of the currents changes with the wind speed. Therefore, the obtained results may not be accurate. In this paper, the residuals between an Extended Kalman Filter and the measured currents are proposed to be used for fault diagnosis and identification, via the FFT. The spectrum of the residuals is invariant to changes in the wind speed, but sensitive to faults.
