
David Pearson
Interested in how aesthetic decisions in filmmaking are impacted by commercial, organisational and distribution considerations David Pearson has been making stories matter as an award winning writer, director, producer & executive for the cinema and BBC, ITV and C4 etc in documentary & drama. He’s been Oscar shortlisted (he produced the award winning cinema film Mugabe and The White African), twice BAFTA Nominated and won Grierson, FIPA, & the Royal Television Society awards.
He founded and programmed the acclaimed International Screenwriters' Festival and its training schemes, and has previously lectured on Film and Screenwriting at UWE, and occasionally at other universities and film schools including RCA, Manchester, Dundalk, NFTS, Bournemouth & the Swedish Film Institute.
