🎉 Happy 10th birthday to the specialist centre at AniCura Small Animal Specialists Augsburg! The clinic opened as a small animal practice in 1956. To meet growing demand its specialist referral centre opened in July 2016. The hospital then became part of AniCura Deutschland in August 2016. "Ten years at this location means ten years full of passion, teamwork and countless rescued animal lives," says clinic director and managing director, Antje Steinke. Looking ahead, we are excited that new computer tomograph is being installed in the hospital, while the dermatology department recently expanded, enabling the hospital's amazing team to help even more pets with the care they need. Thank you to everyone who has been part of AniCura Small Animal Specialists Augsburg in the past ten years, and contributed to its success! 🙌 #AniCura #UnitedinCare

Supporting mental health requires practical, evidence-based solutions, tailored to the realities of veterinary practice. 🐾 We are proud to launch the Mars Veterinary Health Mental Health Response Programme in Europe to support a culture where mental health is everyone's responsibility, and leaders can respond with confidence, consistency, and care. This vital initiative started with an advanced leadership response workshop in Madrid, Spain, alongside virtual sessions connecting veterinary professionals across eight European countries. 🌍 The training combined real-world scenarios, structured guidance and practical tools, and the feedback from all participants was very positive. We would like to thank everyone who took part or organised the training, particularly our wonderful Health & Wellbeing team, and Lisa Stewart-Brown and Jeannine Moga who travelled from the US to deliver the workshops. 👏 Noelia Lopez del Campo Marie Deutsch Rachel Bowron Jose Ignacio Ballester Aguado Martina Strnadová #UnitedInCare #AniCura

Sharing knowledge is how we improve care for pets globally 🌍 A huge thank you to Fabio Procoli, internal medicine specialist at AniCura - Ospedale Veterinario I Portoni Rossi, for leading some fascinating educational sessions for colleagues across Mars Veterinary Health (MVH). 🖥️ In partnership with Royal Canin, Fabio’s webinar ‘Latest insights in canine chronic enteropathies: A nutritional approach’ focused on canine chronic enteropathies and the role of nutrition in supporting gastrointestinal health. 🧪 In addition, Fabio presented to more than 90 colleagues from Petcare Brazil (MVH) about fecal microbiota transplantation, and how to implement this important tool in practice. Sharing knowledge internationally, to boost clinical skills and confidence, will benefit patients across Mars Veterinary Health. We are very grateful to Fabio for his collaboration and leadership! #UnitedInCare #AniCura

Our International Veterinary Graduate Programme has been really busy in the past few weeks. We hosted a welcome event for our new graduate intake in Sweden, and it was great to meet so many enthusiastic new vets representing clinics in 13 different countries! 👋 In Italy, one of our graduate groups attended training on emergency care, cardiology and self-leadership at the MVH Training Centre. Group sessions enable our graduates to learn together, but also help them develop networks and friendships that will continue throughout their careers. 📈 A big thank you to the team who arranged and supported these events – particularly our BluePearl Pet Hospital colleagues Adam Lancaster and Lisa Powell for their training and leadership. We can't wait to see all our graduates progressing in their skills and personal development at AniCura! #AniCura #VeterinaryMedicine #Graduates #MVHTrainingCentre

We are really proud of Pablo Agüera Espejo and Jose Luis Fontalba Navas from AniCura Vetsia Hospital Veterinario, whose study has been published in the prestigious ‘Journal of Small Animal Practice’! Their paper, 'Fulkerson‐based oblique novel technique (FONT) to treat concurrent cranial cruciate ligament disease and medial patellar luxation in the dog', concludes that the FONT is promising, but surgical cutting guides could improve the accuracy and repeatability of the procedure. Thank you to Pablo and Jose Luis for their hard work, and dedication to improving the outcomes for so many patients.👏 The study is available at: https://lnkd.in/e8VsXnqK. #VeterinaryScience #UnitedInCare #AniCura

Veterinary care is not just about treating illness—it's about preventing disease and promoting long-term well-being. And nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have. On World Obesity Day, it’s crucial to highlight that obesity in pets is rising steadily. The veterinary healthcare team is the most trusted source of nutritional advice— and we must ensure that this advice is consistently and clearly delivered during consultations and should place great emphasis on obesity prevention, including: Identifying “at-risk” individuals before obesity develops. Proactively monitoring these individuals for life. Promoting the maintenance of a healthy weight and lifestyle. Let’s make nutrition a non-negotiable part of every veterinary visit. Because every conversation counts when it comes to keeping pets healthy for life. #MarsPetcare #ABetterWorldForPets #AniCura #PartnersInExceptionalVeterinaryCare
