The Zeekr 7GT has achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP - For Safer Cars, Vans & Trucks safety rating, making it one of the first vehicles to be assessed under Euro NCAP's new 2026 protocols, the most significant evolution of the rating system since the introduction of the overall safety rating in 2009. Beyond traditional crash testing, the protocols place greater emphasis on real-world performance of driver assistance systems, expanded crash scenarios, broader occupant representation, and post-crash considerations such as emergency access and high-voltage safety in electric vehicles. At Geely Technology Europe, we are proud to contribute to a global engineering effort that continues to raise the bar for vehicle safety. Earlier this month, Geely Technology Europe hosted a Knowledge Sharing – Thesis Presentation Day, where thesis students presented the results of their work to colleagues across the organization. The presentations covered topics such as battery thermal management, vehicle energy management, optimization algorithms, AI applications, vehicle dynamics, and digital engineering tools. The session provided an opportunity to share research insights and connect academic work with real-world engineering challenges. Throughout their thesis journey, the students were supported by GTEU engineers whose mentorship helped strengthen the connection between academia and industry.
