“Before joining Agoda, I spent over 15 years in recruitment in the UK, building a diverse career. I started at an IT recruitment agency before moving into global RPO leadership. After that, I transitioned in-house to a large global media and technology company, where I led tech recruitment across Europe. Finally, I made the leap to Bangkok. What drew me to Agoda was the scale and complexity of the recruitment challenge. Agoda was transforming its Talent Acquisition function and facing some tough hurdles in tech hiring. I saw a unique opportunity to work on fascinating, high-impact projects, leave my mark, and help shape Agoda’s TA function into a best-in-class organization. Bangkok is an incredibly vibrant city. Having lived in Paris and London, I love the energy of big cities, and Bangkok delivers with its rich culture, amazing food, and constantly changing vibe. The city is full of beautiful parks, perfect for running, which I really enjoy. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time staying active. I’m into climbing, tennis, padel, and weight training, and Bangkok has it all. There are endless activities to try, and if you’re a night owl or a foodie, the cocktail and club scene is fantastic. Agoda’s company culture is truly special. People are incredibly supportive and welcoming, and I’ve made lots of friends here, whether through sports, pottery, or simply going out for food and drinks. Starting fresh in a new city can feel daunting, especially if you’re on your own, but my advice is not to be shy. Connect with your colleagues! Last Thursday and Friday, we welcomed more than 400 students from 12 universities in Bangkok to our new One Bangkok office for the 11th edition of Agoda Tech Camp Day. 🚀 During the program, Agoda software engineers led hands-on workshops exploring the next evolution of AI—from chat-based tools to agentic solutions—and how to use these technologies safely and responsibly. Students also toured our new office and joined an interactive career session. At the closing ceremony, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Professor Yodchanan Wongsawat, Ph.D., joined Agoda leaders to deliver keynote remarks and support Agoda’s role in nurturing the country’s next generation of tech talent. Since its launch in 2023, Agoda Tech Camp Day has delivered workshops on AI applications, UX/UI design, and web development, helping students build practical skills and encouraging them to pursue further studies and careers in technology.
