One of the commitments I’ve made to myself this year is to never stop learning to keep things fresh! So in the past week, I was delighted to join the SGTech Smart Nation Singapore Chapter Members Networking Session hosted at EY Singapore, where industry leaders came together to discuss Singapore’s AI strategy & how we can accelerate AI adoption across businesses and society. A special thank you to Mr Feng-Ji Sim from the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, for sharing insights into Singapore’s AI journey and the importance of translating strategy into real-world impact. The SGTech Smart Nation Chapter plays a role in bringing together government, industry and technology leaders to collaborate on ideas, partnerships and innovation that support Singapore’s Smart Nation vision. Truly, meaningful transformation happens when diverse perspectives come together with a shared purpose! As someone who has spent my career across healthcare, education & community building, AI is no longer just a technology conversation but a leadership conversation, challenging us to rethink how we lead, learn, innovate and create value responsibly. Every invitation to learn is an opportunity to broaden our perspectives, ask better questions, & prepare ourselves to lead in a rapidly changing world. This conversation bodes well for PHOENIXUS’ upcoming CxO Innovation Lab series happening this sat! While national strategies provide the direction, it is leaders who ultimately determine how AI reshapes our organisations, our people & our culture. That is precisely why PHOENIXUS’ upcoming CxO Innovation Lab sessions will explore “The AI-Human Paradox” in August, followed by “AI + Humans: Co-creation, Not Competition” in September because the future will not be built by AI alone, but by leaders who know how to bring out the very best of both human potential & technology. Together with my partners, Soo Yee LEONG PCC ACTC CSM & Adeline Tiah, we intend to bring this conversation to life with our guest speakers Mei May Soo MSID AD / SMSCS & Colin Goh, CEO of TRCL this coming Sat at One Farrer Hotel! My sincere appreciation to everyone who made last evening's SGTech Smart Nation Chapter Networking event possible. A special thank you to Mr Feng-Ji Sim, Government Chief Digital Transformation Officer at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), for joining us and sharing his perspectives on Singapore's AI Strategy and AI Diffusion. As AI capabilities continue to advance, the real challenge is how we could accelerate its responsible adoption across government, businesses, and society. That is a critical pillar of Singapore's Smart Nation agenda, and it was encouraging to hear how MDDI is driving this vision forward. As Chair of the SGTech Smart Nation Chapter, building partnerships and strengthening Singapore's Smart Cities and AI ecosystem has always been close to my heart. In my role as General Manager of Global Smart Cities and the APJ AI Innovation Hub at Dell Technologies, I have the privilege of working with governments and city leaders across the region. The Future of Singapore's Cybersecurity Starts with Tech Community 🔐 Just wrapped up our 5th SGTech Cybersecurity Chapter Exco Meeting, and I'm walking away with so much pride and excitement for what's ahead. Thanks to Dennis Chan for hosting us at his Huawei office. First, a warm welcome to incoming new Co-opt Excos. Seeing cybersecurity professionals step up to serve the community, and new companies joining SGTech, tells me we're on the right track. Looking forward to having our Excos speak at CyberSG Connect (organized by CRPO - CyberSG Research & Development Programme Office), bringing real-world practitioner case studies to make the event truly impactful. Second, our #CyberEcosystemWorkgroup is buzzing! Over a dozen volunteers have signed up for the #Cyber+Health Clinic, supported by Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. This initiative will directly uplift Singapore's cyber posture and our contributors are ready to make a difference. Third, exciting new projects on the horizon: · 🎓 Cybersecurity Courses, building skills for the future · 🛡️ Cyber Insurance, helping businesses stay resilient · 📄 #QuantumSafetyWorkgroup, working on White Paper 2, aligned with CSA's latest announcements But the highlight for me? Our #TalentDevelopmentWorkgroup (led by the incredible Divyan Munirathnam Konidala and fellow Excos) has announced #TechTalentWeek&Roadshow on 21 October at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We're collaborating with National Youth Council Singapore to bring mentors into the fold through #MentoringSG, reaching IHL students who are eager to explore cybersecurity. 🎯 If you're a cyber professional with a heart for giving back, #VolunteerNow. Your experience could spark a lifelong passion in a young mind.
