Solar module performance is shaped long before it reaches the field. For Vertex N G3, Trinasolar’s n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology brings cell-level innovations that reduce energy loss, improve current flow, and maximize power generation. These include: - Multi-cut edge passivation, which protects cell edges and reduces recombination loss to deliver more than 10W additional output at the module level. - Ultra-fine metallization, with thinner lines that reduce shading and improve light absorption to boost cell efficiency without increasing module size. Together, these advancements support higher module efficiency, stronger system output, and improved long-term project value. Because better solar performance begins with better cell design. What is it like to install a 515W module on an Australian residential roof? Edison Zhou, Head of Australia and New Zealand at Trinasolar Asia Pacific, and Trent Dorrington, Installer from Rogue Electrical & Data, share their perspectives on the new Vertex S+ G3 515W, designed exclusively for the Australian market. During the installation process, the installation team found that the module’s weight of less than 22kg, height of under two meters, and 30mm frame made it easier to handle on the roof. Its lower-voltage design also helped halve installation time by allowing more modules per string and reducing cable runs. More power per module does not have to mean a larger rooftop format. This 20-module residential installation in Melbourne uses the Australia-exclusive Vertex S+ G3 module, delivering up to 515W and 24.7% efficiency within a standard 1842 × 1134 mm rooftop footprint. At 22 kg, under two meters tall and with a 30 mm frame, the module is designed to help make rooftop handling easier. Its lower-voltage design also enables more flexible string sizing across different inverter configurations, supporting residential system layouts where roof space or electrical limits constrain design.
