Adjust resolution and display mode (if needed): Auto SR applies only when the toggle from step 2 is on and you're using a supported resolution and display mode.
-
In the game settings, select a supported resolution
-
Set the display mode to Fullscreen or Exclusive Fullscreen.
-
-
Check display settings (if Auto SR is still off): In the General tab of the Display widget, change the display resolution to a supported value.

Confirm Auto SR is being applied: Look for the Auto SR status indicator
in the game window and enjoy! If the indicator is not visible, check the Auto SR tab in the Display widget for details about what needs to be fixed.
Note: Next time you launch this game, Auto SR turns on automatically as long as the resolution and display mode remain at supported settings.
Auto SR Game Bar Widget Overview
The Auto SR tab in the Display widget shows whether Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR) is active for your current game, and if not, why not without leaving the game. There are two main pieces: the widget itself and Game Bar notifications.
The Current Status shows whether Auto SR is active for the running game. Potential statuses include:
-
On: Auto SR is actively enhancing your game.
-
Off, Action Required: Auto SR is enabled for the game, but not currently active due to an unsupported resolution or needing to restart your game.
-
Off: Auto SR is turned off for the game and not actively running.
