
Puskar R Joshi
I graduated with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Bilingual Education, English as a Second Language, and Teacher Education, from the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. I also hold an EdM in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York, and an Advanced Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from The University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Currently, I serve as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University.
My research focuses on marginalized children, English learners, and immigrant children, with particular attention to medium of instruction policy and practice, culturally responsive education, and bilingual, multilingual, and English as a Second Language teacher education. Methodologically, I employ mixed approaches, including narrative inquiry, multivariate methods, and critical discourse analysis.
