Marco Susani

Marco Susani, Industrial Designer and UX Designer, is founding partner of Koz Susani Design, based in Chicago, and Professor of Industrial Design at UIC.His main interest is in combining technology innovation with emotional design, and to use hisdesign vision to drive toward a more human future.He developed design projects for - among others - 3M, Allstate, Apple, Fontana Arte, Logitech, Mitsubishi, Motorola, Nestle’, Nissan, NTT, Panasonic, Philips, Pirelli, Seiko, Unilever, Xerox.Among his recent projects are Design Visions for the Future of Food, the Future of Urban Transportation, Wearables and Health devices, Smart Home systems and the Internet of EverythingHe started his career in Italy with Italian Design guru Ettore Sottsass in the legendary Olivetti Design team and as partner of Sottsass Associati, and later, as Director of Domus Academy Research Center, extended the culture of Italian Design to Design Innovation, Interaction Design and Strategic Design.He moved from Italy to the US to create the Motorola Advanced Concept Group, and later became Motorola’s Global Vice President of Experience Design. His designs have been awarded by IDSA IDEA, IF Design, Red Dot, ID magazine, Good Design Chicago.He has been involved in academic initiatives at Domus Academy, RCA London, MIT Boston, NSAD San Diego, Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, University of Siena.
