The latest report by GEP notes buffer stockpiling for safety is reaching highs not seen since January 2023. Shortages and order backlogs are rising and this is a natural response. A better approach though is targeted resilience = identifying production-critical components, monitoring consumption and lead times, and replenishing against real demand.
