Stablecoins vs Tokenized Bank Deposits: the new battle ⚔️ Igor Tomych from Fintech Garden sat down with Thomas Restout to unpack just that: Highlights 👇 🔹 Stablecoins and tokenized deposits solve different problems. Stablecoins are universal, widely distributed with ~$300B in circulation. Tokenized deposits sit inside the bank, carry bank-grade guarantees, and don't hit corporate balance sheets as risk assets. 🔹 Corporate treasurers find tokenized deposits more comfortable — but they're whitelisted, so utility is restricted. Stablecoins are universal, but come with tax, regulatory, and operational overhead. 🔹 The market maker's job is to abstract complexity. "I'm collecting fiat from one place and delivering fiat somewhere else. How it's done in between — almost no one cares." The analogy: sending an email today doesn't require you to understand TCP/IP. Digital asset money movement is similar, but we're still in the "know your protocol" era. Learn more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/diJpewSX For institutional/professional investors only. Not for retail use. What are the institutional use cases for stablecoins? 🧐 Thomas Restout recently joined an all star CEO panel at this year's Stablecoins Unblocked at Clifford Chance. It was a fascinating conversation moderated by Elizabeth Lumley of Compliance Corylated, including Charles McManus of ClearBank and the UCFT (Unicorn Council for UK Fintech), Andrew MacKenzie of Agant, and Teresa Cameron FCT, CGMA of Clear Junction. The practical discussion covered the Clarity Act and MiCA, and how and why stablecoins could create new efficiencies for institutions, businesses and consumers. What does it take to strengthen the UK’s digital asset framework? Informed dialogue between industry and policymakers on the issues that matter. Last week, we welcomed members of Parliament’s Crypto and Digital Assets All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) to B2C2’s London office, in partnership with CryptoUK. Guests included Gurinder Singh Josan CBE, MP and Lord Ed Vaizey of Didcot, Co-Chairs of the Crypto and Digital Assets APPG, Baroness Kramer, and Lord Taylor of Warwick from the UK House of Lords. 📍The visit began on our trading floor, where we explained how we price and place orders for clients, how trades are executed, and how settlement works on-chain. We also demonstrated how institutional digital asset markets operate in practice — from execution and liquidity to governance, financial crime controls, and enterprise risk management. 💬 We then moved into a roundtable discussion covering: ✔️ Institutional market structure and liquidity ✔️ Stablecoins, tokenization and the convergence of crypto and traditional finance ✔️ Governance, financial crime controls and consumer protection ✔️ The UK’s international competitiveness ✔️ The importance of proportionate, well-calibrated regulation Thank you to Su Carpenter of CryptoUK, and B2C2’s Thomas Restout, Dean C. Sovolos, Rebecca Rogers, and Nicola Barrett for a thoughtful and constructive session. Good regulation benefits from informed dialogue. Bringing parliamentarians closer to how institutional digital asset markets operate builds informed debate — and the UK’s ambition to be a serious, well-regulated centre for digital assets.🇬🇧 #DigitalAssets #CryptoRegulation #UKFintech

Another heavy lift done and dusted. 💪 B2C2 has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 attestation from RSM US LLP, following an independent examination of the operating effectiveness of the controls that support our OTC trading platform. For banks, asset managers and other regulated institutions, this type of independent assurance is critical to counterparty and vendor due diligence — particularly as digital assets become a more established part of institutional portfolios. This follows our SOC 2 Type 1 attestation, which we received in October 2025. Simon H., Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at B2C2, says: “Type 1 tells you our controls are well-designed. Type 2 proves they hold up in practice, day after day, over time. That’s the distinction institutional counterparties actually care about, and it’s the standard we’re now able to demonstrate.” For institutional/professional investors only. Not for retail use. Informational only; not investment advice or an offer to buy/sell securities. More in the comments. 👀 #SOC2

🎙️ Our must-listen podcast on crypto market making. For many of us, market making can feel opaque: algorithmic trading, supply and demand, macro factors, settlement, custody and balance-sheet capacity all at play. But it is critical to how markets work. It provides the liquidity that enables institutions to trade and use digital assets, including stablecoins for payments, money movement and treasury optimisation. In this episode, Cactus Raazi, CEO Americas at B2C2, joins Lex Sokolin, CEO & Founder of Fintech Blueprint, for a frank, funny and highly accessible conversation to make these complex topics easier to understand. Highlights: ✅ Cactus’ move into crypto after 13 years in capital markets at Goldman Sachs, where he holds the record for highest-ever credit sales production. ✅ How balance sheet and signal generation underpin roughly $1bn a day of stablecoin flow at B2C2 ✅ The future of stablecoins as programmable money ✅ Why a multi-currency, multi-issuer stablecoin world is emerging ✅ How scale, speed and complexity are reshaping Wall Street. Worth a listen on your next drive, walk or commute. 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/efSfXBXe 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/e5geKZdV 📩 Read/listen via Fintech Blueprint on Substack: https://lnkd.in/e84suA_c For institutional/professional investors only. MiCA turns three this year — and the debate around “MiCA 2.0” is already taking shape. ⏰ In a new CoinDesk piece by Ian Allison, Denzel Walters, Head of Luxembourg, B2C2, shares his perspective on how Europe’s crypto-asset framework may need to evolve as stablecoins, tokenisation and institutional adoption accelerate. The article examines: ✅ How should MiCA adapt to the growth of stablecoins and tokenised assets? ✅ Will Europe revisit reserve requirements as the US moves ahead with the GENIUS Act? ✅ Could multi-issuance stablecoins become more fragmented by jurisdiction? ✅ Should MiCA supervision move closer to ESMA, or remain with national regulators? For B2C2, the focus remains pragmatic: regulation should support safe, well-supervised growth — while allowing firms to build, serve clients and compete globally.
