What is a UV hybrid printer?  A UV hybrid printer is a wide-format digital printer that can print directly onto rigid sheet materials placed flat on a bed, and onto roll media fed and taken up via an integrated roll system, all on the same machine. Whereas a UV flatbed printer is built specifically for rigid substrates on a fixed bed, a UV hybrid printer adds a roll-to-roll media path on top of flatbed printing. So it can also handle flexible media without needing a second machine. A UV hybrid printer can print on rigid materials including acrylic, foam board, correx, dibond, wood, and metal as well as roll media such as vinyl, PVC banner, PET film, and self-adhesive vinyl. Most machines print directly with no pre-treatment required.
