We are pleased to share the successful completion of Phase 2 of the renovation at Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort, on behalf of Iconic Hotels & Resorts. Our team provided Project Management, Cost Management and Site Supervision services on the project, which covered the structural, MEP and interior refurbishment of 80 guestrooms, together with the fit-out of the main hall and maintenance works to the swimming pool. Delivered within a historic and listed building, the project required careful coordination to preserve and enhance existing architectural and design features while integrating upgraded building services and MEP systems. A special thank you to our team in Italy, Francesco Zago, Filippo Reggiardi, and to Carlotta Mozzorecchia, project manager at Iconic Hotels & Resorts, as well as the wider project team involved in the successful delivery of this milestone. Last Friday, our Dublin team took home the trophy at the SCSI Nexus Soccer Tournament 2026. It was a fantastic day marked by great energy, strong teamwork, and a real competitive spirit throughout. The team exceeded expectations on the pitch and delivered a well-earned result. The summer heat made for tough conditions, but the atmosphere on the day was brilliant, with a BBQ and refreshments rounding off the day perfectly. Congratulations to the SCSI - Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland organisers for hosting such a well-run event, and well done to all teams who competed. We’re already looking forward to returning next year. As we mark Rail Safety Week it’s a good time to reflect on how we’re thinking about safety within our projects, programmes and processes. We asked our Rail Sector Lead, Chris Mills: As the railway sector becomes more integrated, where should the industry focus next deliver meaningful improvements in safety? Does that mean looking beyond major incidents?
