Cyan Sentinel secures new long term contracts with EFCA Cyan Renewables is proud to announce that MCO 1 BV with subcontractors Sentinel Offshore Vessels Limited, Cyan Sentinel Limited and Sentinel Marine Netherlands (collectively referred to as “Cyan Sentinel”), has been awarded the four-year framework contract for offshore fisheries patrol vessel services. In this way, we will keep supporting the operations of the European Fisheries Control Agency (“EFCA”). This award follows a competitive tender process and reaffirms our position as a trusted partner in delivering critical maritime surveillance and fisheries enforcement services across European waters. Under the contract, Ocean Guardian, Ocean Protector, and Ocean Sentinel will continue to support EFCA’s operations across the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Western Waters, and international and regional fisheries management regions. These vessels remain the only seaborne patrol assets directly coordinated by an EU agency, playing a vital role in fisheries control, maritime surveillance, search and rescue, and pollution response activities. Our success is built on the strength of our modern, purpose-built fleet. The three 62-metre Multi-Role Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) combine operational reliability, dynamic positioning capability, fuel-efficient performance, advanced communications systems, and high standards of onboard accommodation. Their versatility enables them to undertake a wide range of missions while meeting demanding operational and environmental requirements. This award reflects our proven track record, highly skilled crews, strong safety culture, environmental stewardship, and consistent delivery of high-quality maritime services. Having already secured consent for its wind farm asset and retaining a grid connection agreement, Morgan offers a strong foundation for accelerated development once a new developer is selected. More broadly, this development highlights the resilience, maturity and long-term stability of the UK's offshore wind industry. Established markets like the UK continue to lead in offshore wind, while emerging economies across Asia, including Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, are scaling up offshore wind as a strategic response to rising fuel costs and import dependencies. Offshore wind is evolving from a climate solution into a core pillar of national resilience and energy independence. Ocean Winds launched its second operational floating offshore wind project off Port-La Nouvelle, also its first in France, serving as a pilot to demonstrate the technical and industrial viability of floating offshore wind in complex marine environments. The Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion (EFGL) floating wind farm is a 30 MW project that is already delivering clean electricity to the French grid, powered by three 10 MW turbines on floating foundations. More importantly, it proves that floating wind technology is no longer experimental, as deepwater wind deployment in complex environments is both feasible and scalable. Several key outcomes from the summit point to how this support is translating into action. These include the launch of the refreshed Marine and Offshore Energy Industry Digital Plan, aimed at accelerating digital and AI adoption across the sector, and CATALYST, a new initiative focused on AI applications for marine and offshore energy, including vessel design, predictive maintenance and virtual testing. The new partnership between TCOMS (Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore) and Japan’s FLOWRA (Floating Offshore Wind Technology Research Association) to advance floating offshore wind technologies further reinforces the need for shared expertise and cross-border collaboration as offshore wind projects move into deeper and more technically complex environments. These developments matter because long-term growth requires coordinated support across policy, technology, infrastructure, marine capability and supply chains. Government backing and institutional collaboration provide the confidence and stability needed for companies to invest, innovate and scale.
