  • It's been great to welcome Harvey from PSA Parts Ltd to the Galtec Solutions office today. Our Account Managers spent the morning learning more about the latest solutions, product developments, and ways we can continue helping customers make the most out of their purchases with us. Sessions like these are a great reminder of the value strong vendor partnerships bring. They keep our team up to date, broaden our knowledge, and ultimately help us provide better guidance and support to the organisations we work with every day. A huge thank you to Harvey for taking the time to visit, share his expertise, and round off the day with a team meal. We appreciate the continued partnership and look forward to working together on future opportunities.

  • If ransomware took your business offline tomorrow, who would make the first major decision? Your IT team? Your CEO? Your legal advisers? What if nobody could agree on the right course of action? In a cyber crisis, the technical response is only part of the challenge. Business leaders are often faced with difficult decisions, incomplete information, and competing priorities, all while customers, staff, regulators and the media demand answers. Could your leadership team confidently navigate that situation? That's precisely what we're going to answer in our next event. More details coming soon. #LearnWithGaltec #CyberSecurity #CyberResilience #IncidentResponse #CrisisManagement

We've been running an security incident response simulations (Exec Boardroom Tabletop Exercise and Technical War Room) with our partners with amazing feedback. So we're running a free simulation in September at a venue in Leeds. Date and location coming soon! Watching experienced execs disagree is the most surprising outcome. Each option seems logical but creates its own risk. Can your leadership team make effective decisions when every option is bad? If you'd like to pressure test your organisation, drop me a message. Here's a taster of one of the many scenarios we'll be working through: You're the CEO. Ransomware has struck your business. Its day 2 and the business is now fully offline. Customers can't place orders. Staff can't access systems. Journalists are calling. #businessdown is trending on X. Pressure is building. As the CEO, you still don't know what data has been stolen, if backups are compromised, how long recovery will take and whether you need to notify regulators. Your Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) presents 4 options. If you pay, will you see a second demand? Will your insurance pay out be impacted if you even enter negotiations? What if you rebuild immediately, but the root cause isn't identified? Now recovery time is tripled and has wiped evidence your insurance firm needed for your pay out terms. If you stop trading, how long can your business survive? If your Incident Response Plan misses this, and your Minimum Viable Product to trade, look at this today. Maybe its safer to wait for legal advice and get a battle hardened consultant to guide us. They don't know our systems and have no bias - but containment scope has doubled while we waited. What do you do? Is there a right answer, or just the least bad? #IncidentResponse #csirt #CyberResilience #CrisisManagement

We're incredibly grateful for the kind words from the team at Coram SCARF Yorkshire. Technology works best when it quietly enables organisations to focus on what matters most. We're pleased we could help resolve the issue quickly and support the amazing work Coram SCARF does for children, schools and communities across Yorkshire. At Galtec, we believe the best partnerships are built on trust, responsiveness and a shared commitment to making a positive difference. Thank you for your continued partnership. We're proud to support the important work you do. #Partnership #TechnologyWithPurpose #ManagedServices #ITSupport #Yorkshire

Sometimes the biggest acts of support happen behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Jamie and the team at Galtec Solutions for giving up part of their Friday evening to help us resolve some unexpected tech issues. Their generosity, expertise and willingness to jump in at short notice meant we could get back to doing what matters most - supporting children, schools and communities across Yorkshire. Partnerships like this are built on trust, and we're incredibly grateful to have Galtec Solutions in our corner. Thank you for everything you do.

  • Delivering value in the public sector isn’t just about technology. It’s about clarity, consistency, and outcomes that make a real difference for internal teams. We’re proud to have supported the Ministry of Defence with a structured, outcomes-focused approach that prioritises simplicity, reliability, and long-term value. This testimonial reflects what we aim to deliver on every engagement: practical improvements, aligned delivery, and a partnership approach that lasts beyond the initial requirement. #PublicSector #Government #MOD #CCS #TechnologyServices #ManagedServices #DigitalTransformation #UKPublicSector #ITServices #PartnershipApproach

As we approach the end of the academic year, we'd like to recognise and thank the organisations whose support helps Coram SCARF Yorkshire extend its reach and impact across the region. Our sincere thanks to The Keith Howard Foundation, local Rotary groups across Yorkshire and Galtec Solutions for their valued support throughout the year. • Cyber Essentials isn’t a one-time pass anymore. The expectations have changed. It’s no longer about preparing for an assessment once a year, it’s about maintaining a consistent level of security across your environment at all times. At the same time, the scope has tightened. Cloud services can’t be treated as grey areas anymore. If your organisation relies on them, they need to be properly understood, secured, and included in your approach. That’s why we’re running a practical, real-world session focused on what Cyber Essentials actually looks like today. Join Jamie Edler-Bowes and Jensen Barnes at 11am on Wednesday 10th June, where we’ll cover: • What’s changed in Cyber Essentials and why it matters • Why a “pass and forget” approach no longer works • How cloud services now factor into your scope and risk • The common gaps we see when reviewing environments • How to take a structured, achievable approach to compliance This session is designed for both technology leaders and business decision makers who want clarity, not jargon. If you can’t make the live session, register anyway and we’ll send you the recording afterwards. We’ll also be sharing practical resources with attendees, including a Cyber Essentials checklist to help you understand where you stand today and what to prioritise next. If you’ve been meaning to get a clearer handle on Cyber Essentials, this is the perfect place to start. The link to register is in the comments. #LearnWithGaltec #CyberSecurity #CyberEssentials #MSP #ITLeadership #BusinessLeadership #InformationSecurity #UKBusiness #RiskManagement #Compliance #Microsoft365 #CloudSecurity #ITStrategy #DigitalTransformation #LeedsBusiness
