Woodlands, our Children's Ward at Harrogate District Hospital is now using Masimo Patient SafetyNet™ central monitoring, a centralised patient monitoring platform designed to enhance patient monitoring and support the early recognition of deterioration. Thank you to Nina Kapur, Sarah-Elizabeth Poole, the staff on Woodlands Ward and the team at Masimo for supporting the project's launch and implementation on the ward. The system connects bedside monitoring devices to a central monitoring station located within the ward, allowing clinical teams to view patient status from a single location and receive alerts when a patient's condition begins to change. The installation has been delivered using a virtual server architecture, creating a scalable and future proof digital infrastructure. The server has the capacity to support up to 500 monitored beds, enabling future expansion across additional wards and clinical areas without the need for significant new infrastructure investment. After HDFT Impact coaching, our Tissue Viability Team took their teaching to the wards to work more collaboratively with clinical teams to reduce patient pressure ulcers across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.   Well done to everyone in the team who has worked incredibly hard to build strong relationships, share knowledge, and embed best practice at the point of care! By supporting colleagues on the wards and focusing on early intervention and prevention, they are helping to improve patient outcomes and safety every day.   HDFT has been using “lean” improvement methods for over 10 years, and we’ve seen the improvements it can bring for patients and colleagues.    HDFT Impact builds on this experience to put continuous improvement at the centre of our culture and ways of working.    Continuous improvement is an organised approach to improving quality, health outcomes, safety, patient and family experience and efficiency. What a fantastic turnout at today's #teamHDFT Conference, with around 250 colleagues joining us in person and many more watching live online. From inspiring keynote speakers and engaging presentations to thought-provoking panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions, it has been a day full of ideas, learning and collaboration. We even had a special appearance from a medical robot! A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to making the event such a success including our guest speakers Dean Royles, Duncan Burton,  Clare McNaught, Richard Stubbs, Fiona Rogers QN and Steve Tolan - it's been a great opportunity to connect, learn, and look towards the future together.
