🌊 Fueling safely across one of the world’s most sensitive marine environments. Developing fueling infrastructure across the Maldives comes with a unique set of challenges such as shallow lagoons, coral ecosystems and salt‑water exposure, leaving almost zero margin for error. We recently completed the installation of a KPS 3” double wall pipeline at one of our own fuel sheds in Kulhudhuhfushi City, Maldives. The 3” double wall pipeline (KP 110/90SCEC35) is an excellent choice for high flow discharge and receiving operations, offering both efficiency and reliability. KPS Piping systems are easy to install and provide a cost effective solution for the Maldivian market. Progress continues. We’ve kicked off work at B. Eydhafushi in Baa Atoll, advancing FSM’s 18 fueling sites across the Maldives. The main KPS Piping products powering this project are: • KP 75/63SCEC (2” pipeline) • KP 40/32SCEC (1” pipeline) These secondary contained conductive KPS systems are perfect for remote islands, incredibly easy and fast to install, with minimal welds and no corrosion worries. Our KPS expert Oscar Garcia had the honour of meeting Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the President of the Maldives on Dhuvaafaru Island at the opening of the first of a series of 18 public FSM (Fuel Supply Maldives) fuelling sites around the country (1 for each atoll) designed to provide cheaper fuel to fishermen. We're proud to say that all of these new sites will use our KPS 2" (75/63 mm) conductive piping to safely transport fuel from the fuel tank to the dispensers.
