Missed the latest updates from MLabs' GrumpleStiltSkin project? This 2025 Treasury-funded project explores support for ZK verification over customizable elliptic curves. MLabs is happy to report the completion of our final research milestone, including recommendations for improving cryptographic support on Cardano: 🔹Today, current UPLC limitations make a practical onchain ZK proof verifier unviable 🔹These limitations are not inherent to the chain itself 🔹Call-by-need evaluation, mutability, and better arrays could all address relevant bottlenecks 🔹Improving the CIP-138 array API appears to offer the best balance of impact and practicality Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/e9rRPSg2

🚀 Plutarch Milestone 4 Complete! We're proud to share that Milestone 4 – Quarterly Dependency Update for Plutarch has been completed as part of MLabs' 2025 Intersect milestone work. Plutarch is an open-source Haskell eDSL for Cardano smart contract development. This milestone focused on keeping the project aligned with current ecosystem dependencies, expanding test coverage, and improving the developer experience. Key highlights: • Updated Plutarch dependencies to current stable versions, bumped plutus-core to 1.64.0.0 • Added PBuiltinValue support and related bindings • Added support for CIP-133 multi-scalar multiplication of BLS primitives • Added new Value compatibility functionality in plutarch-ledger-api • Expanded tests for PMap-related functionality, Ledger API V3 contexts, and PValidateData instances • Benchmarks used to track performance-related effects of changes, especially for pif and PMap-related functions • Refreshed changelogs and updated documentation This work was made possible through Cardano community funding, and we're grateful for the continued support in maintaining critical open-source developer infrastructure.
