It's been 8 years since the very first 5k Your Way group formed in Nottingham and since then we've grown to over 130 groups supporting over 1300 people impacted by cancer every month. Here's what it means to be part of 5k Your Way...

Run for MOVE Against Cancer in the 2027 TCS London Marathon! We know for many of you it's a dream to run the London Marathon for a charity that you care about, and we are now taking applications for our 2 designated charity places in the SUNDAY event. On Saturday, 5k Your Way groups met up across the country to walk, jog, run, cheer, volunteer, spread awareness, and show that we are Moving More Together! Here's what 5k Your Way means to those that attend... 

It’s 5k Your Way Day! Join your local group for a walk, jog, run, cheer or chat. If you want to get involved, visit our website to find your nearest group. Remember to tag us in your photos, we love seeing your smiling faces!

Tomorrow is 5k Your Way day when many of our community living well with and beyond cancer will join one of our 130+ groups across the country. We are delighted to hear new UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham pledging to “help people to live well” and to “put the care of people at the heart of everything I do”. At MOVE Against Cancer we’re here to help and support people to live well with cancer. We know Mr Burnham and some of the cabinet are keen runners and walkers. They are all very welcome to join one of our 5k Your Way groups and support people in moving more together. https://lnkd.in/gqzWZ2Dt

A big welcome to our 3 new 5k Your Way groups launching this month: Bexley (South East London), Parc Dewi Sant (Carmarthenshire) and Pont Y Bala (Gwynedd). Thanks to the amazing ambassadors who have joined our volunteer community to provide supportive spaces at local parkruns for those impacted by cancer. Thank you to Hospital Saturday Fund, The Bexley Rotary Club and local fundraising efforts who supported these groups to launch.

This week Anna our Cancer Rehab Specialist, completed a 900+ mile challenge which included swimming, cycling and running from Edinburgh to London to help raise awareness of the work we do at MOVE Against Cancer and to mark our 10th anniversary #movingmoretogether campaign. One of Anna’s goals was to connect Teenage & Young Adult cancer treatment centres across the UK and she's shared some wonderful photos of her meeting some of our referrers, patients and their families during her challenge. We're so proud of Anna and a special mention to all those that joined her or met up with her along the way, we know she's so grateful for the support.
