I’ve always loved meeting #clients. To see their reality, to make the connection somehow both more formal and informal at the same time. Getting out to the #Netherlands, there’s always the added cultural aspect. And it’s brilliant. Was lucky enough this week to be part of a 4 person Oakwell Hampton Group cohort tackling 16 meetings across 2 days across the whole of the Netherlands. Super 2 days, brilliant outcomes and even sampled some of the top remote working spots in Amsterdam. You cannot replace face to face meetings, and we’ll be back to meet even more clients very soon.

One year at Oakwell Hampton …. Time flies when you're chasing deals... A year ago, I joined the Sales Recruitment team at Oakwell Hampton with one goal: to see what I could achieve from scratch in the Dutch market- no contacts, candidates or playbook in place. Looking back, it's safe to say it's been the best career move I've made. 🏆Biggest payslip of my career (and yes... genuinely life-changing money). 🏆160% of my Q2target... with one day still left- let’s see if we can get to 200%. 😂 🏆Consistently performing amongst the top billers in the business. 🏆Qualified for incentive trips. 🏆Built some incredible relationships with clients and candidates across the Sales market. And one that means the most to me... companies are now reaching out because they've heard my name through referrals and recommendations. That's a pretty cool feeling. Recruitment has a habit of keeping you humble. For every deal that lands, there's one that falls apart. For every placement, there's a counter offer. For every "this candidate is perfect", there's a last-minute curveball. But that's why I love it 😛 The biggest change over the last year hasn't just been the numbers, it's been my quality of life. The earning potential has honestly exceeded anything I expected at this stage of my career, but what makes the biggest difference is the people. I'm surrounded by a team that pushes each other, celebrates wins together and genuinely wants everyone to succeed. You can't put a price on that (although the commission definitely helps... 💰😂). A huge thank you to every client who's trusted me to hire for their scaling business, every candidate who's put their career in my hands, and everyone at Oakwell Hampton who's played a part in what's been an incredible 12 months. Year one here is done. Year two is about raising the bar again 📈 The exciting part?
