New job, new van 🚚 (sadly not the real one yet 😊). I'm thrilled to share that I've joined Ocado Logistics as Leadership Development Manager. Thanks, Hana Syed, for guiding me through the recruitment process with real professionalism and warmth. Yesterday I met so many colleagues at the People Experience Team Day, and honestly, it was a brilliant way to start. I learned all about OL behaviours, Customer Experience insights, PX strategy, and what Operational Trainer and Manager roles actually look like day to day. I also got to know my colleagues through Insights Discovery, which we did as a team (thank you Sean Gannon and Andy Tones CDLP) - and while I didn't get to speak to everyone, the "we are in it together" spirit was obvious within about five minutes. Next week I'm jumping in a van with one of our delivery driver colleagues to deliver groceries to our customers, and spending time in one of our CFCs to learn the ropes (possibly even doing some picking myself 🍋🍏🍅). A huge thanks to Rachel Blanc, PhD and the team for such a warm welcome and a genuinely well-structured onboarding plan - there's a lot to learn, and I'm ready to tuck in and bring my experience to OL and help shape the way the world shops, for good! Delighted to share I have achieved a Distinction in my CMI Level 7 Senior Leader Executive Development Apprenticeship. This programme has challenged my thinking, strengthened my strategic leadership skills and reinforced the importance of creating sustainable value through people, innovation and operational excellence. Hello Gateshead! Incredibly pleased to post about the opening of our new regional distribution spoke in Gateshead today. Hot on the heels of our Nottingham spoke earlier in the year it’s a further example of the huge amount of work we are delivering to ensure we can meet increasing customer demand across the UK and operate more efficiently. A huge thank you to the engineering, logistics, network development, and property teams across Ocado Retail and Ocado Logistics. Your hard work made this opening possible, and I’m proud of the dedication and commitment across all our teams that brought this project to life.
