  • How much evidence does your identity verification journey provide when a customer passes? The Gambling Commission requires remote operators to verify a player’s name, address and date of birth before they can gamble. Its guidance on electronic verification also calls for reliable source coverage, transparent processes and records showing what was checked. As we explored in our latest blog, stronger assurance can come from improving the quality and coverage of the evidence behind each decision. By checking trusted sources and escalating journeys when the available evidence requires it, operators can keep more genuine players moving while maintaining a clear record of every verification. • An inconclusive identity match can reflect gaps in the first source checked, leaving genuine players facing additional steps. Swipe through to see how broader source coverage can give operators more evidence before escalating the journey. Then, follow the link below to read the full blog: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gyhhSVRE

  • When a customer connects a bank account, what evidence confirms it belongs to them? As open finance supports more lending, repayment, withdrawal and account-linking journeys, businesses need a reliable way to connect the person using a service with the account they provide. Leaving that confirmation until later can create gaps between onboarding, payment and compliance processes. It can also mean asking customers for statements or sending cases for manual review when ownership evidence is missing. OneID enables customers to confirm account ownership through their bank in a consent-led journey. Businesses receive verified information from the institution holding the account, helping them build stronger assurance into the journey from the start. • Where can an unverified account create friction in a customer journey? From delayed withdrawals to manual document checks, the gap often appears when a business needs evidence that the account supplied belongs to the person using it. Swipe through to see how verified account ownership can address that gap, then follow the link below for the full blog: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ejxBG88S

  • How do you know an account belongs to the customer using it? As open finance connects more products and data, verified account ownership can help businesses establish that link without adding unnecessary friction. A sort code and account number can direct a payment, but they cannot confirm the customer owns or controls the account. Building that assurance into the journey can reduce manual checks and give businesses stronger evidence before money or data moves. Read more below.

  • How confident are you in a KYC process that depends on one source returning an identity match? A no-match can reflect the limits of the data available, rather than the risk presented by the customer. KYC Match Count checks verified details across multiple independent sources and returns a configurable count of successful matches, giving Compliance teams a broader evidence base for 2+2 decisions. That supports more consistent outcomes, fewer unnecessary rejections and clearer routes for acceptance, escalation or further review. See how OneID can support you: 🔗 oneid.uk

  • Not matching secondary sources for KYC/AML checks should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of fraud or customer risk. More often, it reflects the limitations of the data source used for the check. Customers with a limited credit footprint, recent movers, younger adults or people new to the UK may simply not appear in a Credit Reference Agency database. A more resilient KYC process uses multiple independent evidence sources to determine whether sufficient proof of identity exists before rejecting an applicant. OneID's KYC Match Count extends traditional electronic KYC by checking multiple independent datasets and returning a configurable count of verified matches, helping organisations improve onboarding while maintaining compliance.
