Our 25 year celebrations continue... 🌈 Journey 6 - Meet Brooke! 🌈 Let us re-introduce you to Brooke, who has been part of the Rainbow Hub family for around 14 years 💛🌈 Brooke, now 16, lives with Cerebral Palsy and has been attending #ConductiveEducation sessions since she was just two years old. Over the years, we have been privileged to watch her achieve so many incredible milestones. She has learned to sit independently and can now walk using either a rollator or the parallel bars – achievements that reflect just how hard she has worked ❤ Brooke approaches every session with determination, resilience and a real drive to keep improving. She never gives up, always pushes herself to achieve more, and inspires everyone around her with her positive attitude. She is not only hardworking but also incredibly kind and caring towards her friends. And if you know Brooke, you’ll know she’s a huge Strictly Come Dancing fan! She never misses an opportunity to sing, dance and bring a smile to everyone’s faces – and if you watch the video, you might just spot some of her dance moves between the parallel bars! 💃✨ When asked about her proudest moment at Rainbow Hub, Brooke’s answer was immediate: “Transferring into my wheelchair independently for the first time ever!” 💛 Moments like these are exactly why we do what we do. We are so incredibly proud of everything Brooke has achieved and feel truly honoured to have been part of her journey for so many years. Brooke will always be a very special part of the Rainbow Hub family, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next ❤🌈❤ #25yearsandcounting❤️

Every day is a life changing day - we empower children & young people with disabilities to achieve their potential
About us
Rainbow Hub is a special charity that exists to improve the lives of children and young people with disabilities, and their families from across the North West region. We are a relatively small charity but we make a huge impact on the lives of the families we support. Thank you for taking interest in our work, it means a lot! Through offering range of specialist services, Rainbow Hub helps children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities, who face significant additional challenges due to their issues with movement and mobility, to develop their skills and achieve their individual potential. We constantly need to fundraise throughout the year to be able to offer ‘Conductive Education’, a specialist approach to learning that empowers children and young people with additional needs to develop life-skills and live more active and independent lives! In addition, we also provide a communication service, as well as Rebound Therapy (carried out on a specialist trampoline) and a Family Support service. We have also developed our services in accordance with the need and now run a special needs nursery (opened in 2021) and much more recently, we have opened a special needs school! This is currently a very exciting development at Rainbow Hub – with extensive building work still underway – and we look forward to sharing our journey with you!

Scott perfectly captured the heart of Rainbow Hub when he shared: “I went to speak about resilience, I left being taught it.” His words reflect what we see every day — the incredible resilience, determination and joy of the children and families we support. Thank you, Scott, for listening, learning and inspiring us all 💫 A huge thank you also goes to: 💛 Kelly Bond for hosting the event ⚽Our amazing school children and staff for their fantastic World Cup themed performance 🌸Arden Lea Nurseries Ltd for the beautiful thank you gifts of plants 💚Bidfood UK for kindly donating our refreshments 🥰 Everyone who attended AND everyone who supports Rainbow Hub, whether you were able to join us or not we appreciate you! ...Your support helps us provide specialist therapies, learning opportunities and experiences that enable children and young people to grow in confidence, independence and ability 🙌 Would you like to be part of the Rainbow Hub family? ❤🌈 Whether you take on a challenge, join one of our events, organise your own fundraiser, sponsor an event, enjoy a team building opportunity or become part of our Corporate Patron Scheme — we would love to hear from you. Rainbow Hub families are invited to join us for a relaxed evening of pizza, conversation and expert legal advice 🍕❤🌈 We're delighted to welcome one of our legal partners, Fletchers Group who will be delivering a free presentation covering topics including birth injury, acquired brain injury, funding your child's future, and the Court of Protection. Reece Hobson-Adams from the Fletchers Foundation will also be there on the evening, offering information and support and happy to answer any questions about the help they can provide to families. Our 2️⃣5️⃣th anniversary celebrations have given us the chance to reflect on Rainbow Hub’s own journey. 🌈 Journey 5 - Our Story 🌈 From humble beginnings in a small building in Eccleston in 2001, supporting just a handful of local children, to the vibrant Rainbow Hub community we are today, every chapter has been shaped by the children and families we’ve had the privilege to support, and by the incredible people who have stood beside us every step of the way. Together, we’ve celebrated so many milestones... 🌈 Becoming an independent local charity. 🏡 Opening our Mawdesley site. 💛 Growing with The Hub. 🧸 Welcoming children to Rainbow Hub Nursery. 📚 Opening Rainbow Hub School. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but every child we’ve had the privilege to support has shown us what’s possible. Their incredible achievements, and the resilience and determination it takes to get there, continue to inspire us every day, and they remain at the heart of everything we do ❤️ Now, as we celebrate 25 years, we’re looking ahead to our next exciting chapter – the Rainbow Hub Hydrotherapy Centre. Through our Making Waves Appeal, we’re working to create a specialist hydrotherapy facility where children can experience greater freedom of movement, build strength, grow in confidence and achieve even more, while supporting families across Lancashire and beyond. To every child, family, member of staff, volunteer, fundraiser, supporter and friend of Rainbow Hub... thank you. You are part of our story, and everything we’ve achieved over the past 25 years has only been possible because of you. Here’s to celebrating our past, embracing our future, and continuing to brighten lives for generations to come 💛🌈 💦 Please click the link in the comments to find out more about our #MakingWavesAppeal and help us create the next chapter of the Rainbow Hub story.

The memory of last week’s 2️⃣5️⃣th anniversary ‘Thank You’ event will stay with us for a long time. We were delighted to welcome some of our corporate friends, supporters, and partners as part of our celebrations to thank them and recognise the important role they play in supporting Rainbow Hub 🥰 A special thank you to Scott Thomas, who joined us as our guest speaker on the day. His energy and warmth really lifted the morning for everyone 💫 The messages he shared during his talk inspired everyone in the room and left a real impact. We’re so grateful for his genuine interest in our children, families, and staff team, and for shining a light on Rainbow Hub. Scott was well and truly welcomed into the Rainbow Hub family with a colour run and a water fight — what a great sport! 🏅 To everyone who attended, thank you for being part of our celebrations and for continuing to support Rainbow Hub. Your belief in what we do allows us to keep making a real difference to the lives of children with disabilities and their families ❤️🌈 This reel captures just a small part of the morning. We’ll be sharing more photos and moments from the day soon thanks to our good friend Heather Capture Photography 📸

🏅 Sports Week 2026 at Rainbow Hub 🏅 What a week💙 From the very first challenge to the final cheer, Sports Week 2026 reminded us that success isn't measured by medals – it's measured by courage, determination, laughter and the willingness to give something new a go 🌟 Our incredible children and young people took on every challenge with huge smiles, endless determination and a whole lot of resilience. Despite the soaring temperatures, they smashed their personal goals, celebrated one another's achievements and proved that with the right support, encouragement and opportunities, anything is possible. This is what inclusion looks like ❤ It's confidence growing with every challenge, friendships strengthening through teamwork and families coming together to celebrate every single achievement – big and small. Of course, it wouldn't be Sports Week without encouraging a few family members to get involved too! Watching parents, siblings and carers join in the fun (and discover just how competitive our children can be!) always creates some of the biggest laughs and most treasured memories of the week. We were delighted to welcome the team from Fletchers Group , whose sponsorship helped make this incredible week possible. Their enthusiasm, encouragement and willingness to get involved meant so much to everyone. A special thank you also goes to Claire Buckle , who inspired our children and young people with her incredible story and words of encouragement, reminding everyone to believe in themselves and never be afraid to dream big. We also rounded off the week in style during our Thank You Event, where Scott Thomas joined in the sporting fun and celebrated alongside our Rainbow Hub families. To everyone who volunteered, supported, cheered from the sidelines and helped create such an unforgettable week – thank you. And to our amazing children and young people... You showed us what determination, courage and joy really look like. We couldn't be prouder. 🌈💙 #SportsWeek #Inclusion #DisabilityAwareness #MakingADifference #EveryAchievementMatters #BelieveInYourself

💛 For a charity like ours, corporate support comes in many shapes and sizes, and every act of kindness helps us make an impact and brighten lives ❤️ Today, we’d like to share a unique story – one of history, generosity and kindness. Recently, we received a donation that came about because of two remarkable people. The donor owned a very special watch dating back to the 1940s. It had belonged to his father, a navigator with the famous 617 Squadron, better known as the Dambusters. After 86 years, the watch needed specialist repair work. Steven Forshaw FBHI at Prime Time Watch Repairs in Mawdesley took on the challenge of sourcing a rare part and carefully restoring it. Recognising the watch’s historical significance and the story behind it, Steve chose not to charge for the work. Touched by this gesture, the owner asked Steve to nominate a charity to receive a donation instead. We were honoured that Steve chose Rainbow Hub. We wanted to share this story because it reminds us how kindness can ripple far beyond its original intention. One generous act inspired another, and that generosity has now reached the children, young people and families we support every day. Our heartfelt thanks go to Steve at Prime Time Watch Repairs and to the anonymous donor. Together, you’ve helped preserve a piece of history while making a difference in the lives of others. 💛 And finally, a detail that made us smile: the watch has no second hand. According to the donor’s father, navigators used to joke that pilots didn’t need to be confused by too much information! 😉
